Dr. Amit Goswami, MD

I had the pleasure of seeing Dr. Goswami on several occasions. There are not enough stars for me to rate him. It should be 10! He is professional and make you feel special and important. I would definitely recommend Dr. Goswami.

Total Sociopath and weirdo!

I have been a patient of Dr G for a while. He is always kind, informative and takes his time with me at my visits. My injections go very well and when other doctors wanted to do surgery he has offered me an alternative! His staff is incredible and they always follow up with me right away. I recommended him to a friend and she is seeing him now too. He is the best of the best! Everyone at this office is excellent!! I feel very safe and comfortable from the moment I walk in. Dr. G's approach to pain is very refreshing, as there are so many doctors around here who just want to push surgery and drugs on you so you can go away. After examining me and reviewing my MRI with me, he presented treatment options. Asked if I had any questions. I feel very confident in his recommendations and he is easy to talk to. The staff in the same day surgery center went over all my instructions and helped me schedule a follow up. This office is exceptional when it comes to patient care and I would… highly recommend Epic Pain Management to anyone who needs a really good doctor.

I found Dr. Goswami online for my brother who is in the wheelchair due to a gunshot wound in his back. Once my brother made him aware of how he ended up in the wheelchair, he assumed that my brother was in a gang! Tried to lecture him on how he should be more careful about where he “hangs out” and even when as far as saying something along the lines of you all need to “get it together”. (Whatever that was supposed to mean). In my opinion all of the said above was extremely unprofessional! He has no idea what happened to my brother or how he ended up getting shot! Unfortunately, we come from a very rough neighborhood where it is not uncommon and very much possible to get shot just by walking to the store. None of this had anything to do with why he came to him for help. He charged him $350 after making him wait in the exam room for nearly an hour before being seen, (which caused him to miss class that day) just to send him home with a prescription of tramodol!! He didn’t even offer to… send him to therapy which would have been more helpful! Instead he immediately began to stereotype him and insult him by accusing him of being in a GANG!!! When he actually was a victim of a drive by shooting while attending someone’s BIRTHDAY party! (Which is irrelevant) he is a young man from a rough neighborhood who is also a COLLEGE student NOT a gang member! HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!

Most doctors will start looking for alternative methods if epidurals are not working but not Goswami. The more he gets you in the more he can charge. His prices for everything are double or more than any other competing physician. Communication is virtually non existent. He gave me two shots at once when I thought I was getting one, he was so quick to get me on table and doesn’t bother going over where exactly your pain is or where he will be placing his shot or shots! I looked into how much he was charging and the prices ranged from $10,000-$25,000 a session!! After a few visits which yielded no results he thinks he’s owed $150,000. He hardly ever asks about your pain level and refuses to talk about what other methods of treatment may help. When asked, his reply is I have a few more tricks up my sleeves yet just keeps booking epidural after epidural. Obviously they were not working so I started refusing any more injections. When I spoke with my insurance company they knew exactly who… this doctor was and how he operates/charges. Nobody in his office knows what the other is doing. Instead of having any needed documents regarding medical history faxed to him, he wants you to go pick them up and hand deliver them. The list goes on and on. I’ve worked with pain management doctors in the past and everyone pretty much is inline as far as treatment methods and pricing. Goswami likes to throw spaghetti at the wall and see what sticks. He wants you in, out, and to charge as much as humanly possible. He keeps pushing pain meds that only mask the pain. If you have any kind of injury and need a pain management doctor please look elsewhere

Myself and my husband are current patients of Dr. Gaswami, I am writing this review because we feel that Dr. Gaswami is a kind, compassionate person who treats us for our issues and is always willing to help. I’ve known Dr. Goswami & his staff now for the past 5 years and all I can say is Thank God he is my Doctor. I have several debilitating & painful medical conditions & I’ve never met a Doctor with more compassion & care for the well being of a patient than Doctor Goswami. He is helping me control severe pain in my spine due to many herniated disc’s, several pinched nerves, bulged disc’s, among other medical issues. The moment you walk into his office, talk to his staff, at any of the surgery centers, everyone from his team treats you with their top priority, kindness & care. No matter what they will always take care of you! Dr. Goswami is such a kind & compassionate man who will absolutely make it his priority to make sure a patient’s pain is under control. Dr. Amit Goswami is the best Pain Management doctor that has helped me relieve my lower back in my Lumbar part of my spine . I've been suffering with spine problems since my work accident 7 years ago in which I broke my back accidentally. I've been thru 5 major spine surgeries, many pain management doctors, and some treating me with no compassion, being very aggressive and some even thinking that I'm just looking to get pain killers or other types of drugs when I'm their just looking for help and relief. He suggested for my type of pain for me to get Facet Joint Block injections in my lumbar in which he was right, I had 4 surgical procedures with him and practically eliminated all my lower back pain in which I'm deeply grateful and very appreciative of my new Doctor...I recommend him for everybody who is suffering with EXTREME BACK PAIN & SPINE PROBLEMS FOR MAXIMUM RELIEF ....If their was a 6 star rating I would give him 6 stars.

Dr Goswami is compassionate kind and great at his job. I recommend Doctor Goswami to anyone in pain.
