Dr. Amit Girish Gupta, MD

Dr Gupta did an ablation on two tumors in my Liver a year ago and it was successful. I'm hoping and praying that the cancer doesn't come back.

Misdiagnosed my son!!! I had confidence at Baptist Hospital and trust in their doctors until now. My son was diagnosed to have a tumor on his spine . We were referred to dr Gupta and we rushed to get the MRI CD so we could provide the disc to the doctor while we were in the office. We drove an hour and 20 minutes and didn't even meet the doctor. Dr. Gupta was too busy to even meet with us. We hoped that it was because Dr Gupta was spending my son's MRI, CT and Xray scans which we bought with us the day of the visit. Doctors PA came in and said "no tumor just fractured spine" I looked the PA in the eye and said I need you to be sure because I cannot afford for this doctor to misdiagnose my 18 year son. I had read a previous review of a misdiagnosis by doctor Gupta and another patient which prompted questions about his certainty of his diagnosis of my son. The PA said Dr Gupta reviewed my son's scans and said Dr Gupta was sure it's only a fracture. We went for a 2nd opinion with a spine… specialist and was told we clearly had a tumor and a fracture on my son's spine. I called Dr Guptas office and left a vm regarding the outcome of our 2nd option. Meanwhile i requested Dr Guptas written report on what he saw on the MRI and compared to the MRI report we received from our local MRI report and the reports were exactly the same. It's as if he just copied what the MRI report said from our local MRI person without looking at our MRI himself. The following Monday Dr. Gupta calls back and says "yes, we do in fact now see the tumor and continue to say that he didn't even see the MRI disc that we personally delivered. Very disgusted with this experience.

He was able to perform a very risky lung biopsy on me. He and he and his team did such a great job that I did not have any complications. Which really surprised my pulmonologist.
