I cannot recommend Dr. Mahajan highly enough. I came to him with a complex history of subglottic stenosis and a body that does not respond in simple or predictable ways. From the very beginning, he took me seriously—not just my diagnosis, but my experience, my concerns, and my intuition about my own body. That alone sets him apart. What impressed me most was the combination of surgical excellence and genuine presence. He is clearly highly skilled, but he also listens. When I had concerns about pain, recovery, and how my system would respond, he stayed on top of every detail. I never felt dismissed, rushed, or minimized—something that is unfortunately far too common in medicine, especially for patients with complex conditions. He managed my care thoughtfully and proactively, including my pain, which made a significant difference in my recovery. I felt safe in his hands, and that is not something I say lightly. If you are looking for a surgeon who is not only technically excellent… but also deeply respectful, responsive, and compassionate, I would recommend Dr. Mahajan without hesitation. He is, quite simply, one of the best physicians I have worked with.
