I had a lumbar herniated disc L4 L5. I had pain for about six months and I can no longer stand it and I went to Dr.Schwartz because my general doctor recommended me. I wanted a second opinion so I went to a doctor in New York Presbyterian and the reason I didn't get done there was because I wasn't that comfortable with that doctor. I returned to Dr. Schwartz and the surgery went well. I will recommend him to anyone who needs a herniated disc surgery. He is an excellent surgeon.

Dr. Schwartz is, by far, one of the best Neurosurgeons there is in NY! I met patients of his while waiting that traveled from Connecticut and NJ to see him. His knowledge and experience in this field is unsurpassed!! My first visit with him regarding the MRI of my cervical spine put immediately put my mind at ease. Dr. S's compassion, knowledge and experience with the spine allayed all of my fears to go through with my spine surgery. explained EVERYTHING to me as we reviewed my MRI together in his office. I felt 100% sure, that he was the Doctor for me....and I was right! I thank the good Lord that he was my surgeon. My wife and I were very pleased with the entire preop process, recovery and all of the kind and caring staff at Maimoides. My experience surpassed all of my expectations ! It's been seven weeks since my cervical spine disectomy and except for a tiny bit of nerve pain during the healing process, here and there, I feel like I am a new person and grateful to Dr. Schwartz.

Dr. Amit Schwartz saved my life.I never new him until I found out a week before Thanksgiving 2010 that I had a brain tumor.He was very kind, caring,and funny.He got me through the worst time of my life.Now I am alive and I feel Great.I thank God every day and I feel very lucky to know Dr. Amit Schwarts....
