Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare:My desire to pursue medicine came at an early age, witnessing my sister undergo multiple corrective surgeries for complications of polio that paralyzed her leg. In fact, my family immigrated to the United States to seek world-class medical care for my sister. I witnessed and identified with the compassion and empathy required to make a difference in people's lives. What I want my patients to know about me:On a personal note, originally from India, I have been a Pennsylvanian for over 40 years, settled in York in 1998 to raise two boys with my wife, Shefali.I enjoy my relationships with patients and their family and humbled every day with the privilege and responsibility to provide best possible care for them at the most vulnerable moment in their lives. I'm committed to lead and be part of a dedicated team to provide evidence-based care that is focused on the well-being of people in our care.What I do when I'm not seeing patients:My family …has an extreme love of travel to explore other cultures and landscapes. When not traveling, I exercise regularly and enjoy the outdoors, especially hiking.
