Dr. Amit Dhirubhai Shah, MD

Dr. Shah is a superior cardiologist. Although he sometimes can not spend as much time with a patient as one would like, he is so good that this problem can be overlooked. I consider him to be among the best physicians I have called upon over a span of many decades.

He performed right atrium catheter ablation for atrial tachycardia at St. Mary's Athens. I was healthy all of my life when suddenly my heart had palpitations that sped it up and would not stop. After days of this, it felt like a heart attack and my heart was tired. Now I can get back to my mission in life. Eternally grateful.

Dr. Shah is a real nice guy and knowledgeable, but he was very quick to suggest surgery. I got a second opinion and didn't need surgery. SMH. The office looks clean enough, but it smells like foot. About 2 months after my last visit, I received a text saying "it's been 3 months (it hadn't) since we last saw you, please call for an appt. if you have any concerns." I replied with Stop in an attempt to opt out, but it the texts haven't stopped. I've gotten two more since, saying it's been a while, just making sure you're still doing well. What kind of doctor does that??? A desperate one, I'd say. I will call them & give them a piece of my mind if I get another solicitation. Disgusting behavior from a doctor.

Dr. Shah is one of the most very competent, generous, and thoughtful physician I have come across and would recommend his services to anyone.

We saw this doctor just one time for a pacemaker trade out and he was great. Thanks We will hopefully be his patient soon full time or as needed.
