Dr. Amita Jain, MD

My wife and I were utterly crushed by the experience with Dr. Amita Jain four years ago. She delivered our son as the OBGYN on call during the birth. To this day (4 years after the birth) my wife still has chronic joint and pelvic pain caused by the child birth as well as severe medical PTSD and birth trauma. Dr. Jain was cold and lacking compassion, arriving late and disregarding most of the birth plan after taking over from Dr. Wilkinson on the 2nd day of induction. My wife had an incredibly painful delivery under Dr. Jain's supervision, resulting in a 3rd degree tear. Despite this, Dr. Jain refused to follow our birth plan, did not comfort her, and hid details of the veracity of the tear. My wife and I had to spend over a year digging through medical records to identify the details Dr. Jain hid from us, which is critical for healing. In a follow-up appointment, Dr. Jain completely ignored my wife's obvious mental health struggle and minimized her physical pain resulting from the… birth. Had she not acted so distant and careless, my wife's health today could have been completely different. DO NOT go to Dr. Anita Jain or IGO if you value your health, physical and mental. We are still recovering from her actions during delivery and postpartum care and hope no one else has to go through the same.

Dr Jain was such a pleasure. Very sweet, informative and caring. It was my first time with her and she put me at ease right away. Happy to have found her!
