Dr. Ammar Wehbeh, MD

In June 2024, I received a colposcopy and biopsy from Dr. Ammar Webbeh. I was told at the time that the total cost for the procedure was $500, which I paid out of pocket by credit card. I was never informed—verbally or in writing—that I would receive a separate bill for laboratory or pathology services. I was not given anything to sign stating I accepted responsibility for additional lab fees. One year later, in June 2025, I received a surprise bill for $202 from a third-party lab (LMC). When I contacted Dr. Webbeh’s office, they claimed I was verbally informed of the separate lab charges, which is untrue. Had I known lab fees were not included, I would have asked for that in writing before consenting to the procedure. The office has refused to provide any documentation showing that I agreed to these fees. This situation reflects a serious lack of transparency and poor billing practices. I am now being held financially responsible for a charge I was never made aware of, and the… provider refuses to take accountability. Patients deserve full and honest disclosure of all charges before receiving medical care—not to be misled and billed a year later for unexpected costs.
