Dr. Amnon Fein, MD

Switched from a female doctor who no longer practices. While the office was ok, the doctor, himself, was very quick and no nonsense. Initially, I wasn't bothered by this, but in hindsight realized that it made me feel uncomfortable. The doctor spent time with me in his office prior to the exam, and I initially felt at ease due to his seemingly easy-going nature, but the exam, itself, made me feel like just another number. He also embarrassed me by mentioning how nervous I was. I found I DIDN'T feel comfortable having a male doctor at all, and also.. he sent my pap smear to an out of network lab and they tried to bill me for it (which I managed to resolve). Although he seemed kinda nice, I wouldn't go back to him, and am currently looking for a nice female gynecologist with a better bedside manner.

Well, I'm only on my 6th month of pregnancy, so I cannot tell about how my delivery will be with dr Fein. I've had a nice first visit with him and his staff except with one receptionist who is very rude (brown long hair). Then, after that, so far, it's been 2 mistakes with my appointments meanwhile I always take their card with the date of the next appointment written down by who made my next appointment. Thank goodness I signed up with a great website that let me know about what is next with my pregnancy and next visit, because if not I'm not told about much by anybody at Ramapo Valley. Got rushed at my first ultrasound, it seemed like the lady had to go somewhere... My second ultrasound, the appointment got messed up and so, again, I've had another rushed one... I, so far, have been feeling not so excited to go back at Ramapo Valley. I'm hoping some of his staff including him will cheer up a bit, say hello when coming in with a smile and that the stress of their office wouldn't be… heard nor felt from any of their exam rooms as sound travels well in there. Dr Batista and some young blonde assistant with light eyes are actually pleasant, friendly and resourceful, so they are excluded from this review. Also, I was the one who asked at the reception to book me the anatomy scan appointment since apparently the doctor didn't think to tell me about it meanwhile it was time for it as I read on "whattoexpect.com". Thank goodness I did. Overall, I'd say that this office is a bit unorganized and that the staff doesn't seem happy at all which makes it unpleasant for us pregnant patients who are already enduring quite a bit. There's some improvements to be done at people skills and the receptionists should learn to communicate with each other plus a smile on their face would be bliss. It might get boring to see hundreds of pregnancies but it is one special moment for each pregnant woman and so that special 9 short months moment shouldn't get any negative interferences, especially by the obgyn and some of his staff. I'm hoping this review will make a positive permanent change at Ramapo Valley. Thank you for reading.

I had a horrible experience with dr. Fein while pregnant with my daughter. He has an awful bedside manner, is incredibly rude, and made me feel uncomfortable on several occasions. Dr. Fein would not remove my c section staples before I left the hospital, he insisted I leave them in for 7 days. I now know the standard of care is to leave the in for 3 to 5 days. This caused the skin around the staples to become irritated and will leave extra scars. I had a previous c section which left no scars from the staples. Overall, I had such a poor experience, would not recommend this doctor!! Be careful!

I'm convinced at least a few of the positive reviews are fake. Like a previous poster, this doctor stripped my membranes without my permission, I screamed for him to stop, and he did not. It was my first pregnancy, I had no idea what he was doing, and cried for three days afterwards, having felt completely violated. I only knew what it was after reading about it online. I still needed to be induced, so I called to find out which doc would be on call and it was Dr. Hecht, but guess who took over during the shift change? As a nervous new mom, I didn't insist on another doctor like I should have. He did not do an episiotomy and I needed a second surgery to fix his botched repair of an awful tear after painful injections IN my vagina did not get rid of the pain and scar tissue. This was just the tip of the iceberg with this doctor and this practice. There is one star because I couldn't give the review none. Thank God a caring plastic surgeon referred me to my new doctor. WHAT A… DIFFERENCE!!!

I am the pt dr fine would not see because they said I did not have an appointment. It turn out I have cancer and Dr fine should be ashamed and he should never turn a Pt away due a mistake his office made. His mistake could have cost me my life

No one should ever dare say anything negative about Dr.Fein.I delivered nine babies with him.He is the warmest,nicest person out there!!!!!!!!!!!!.

I had appointment to see the dr. I drove 1 1/2 hours to get to his office. When I got there I was told I did not have appoiment. I say yes a did It was on my calander and I never make a mistake on my appointments. I need medical attention and the Dr refussed to see me. I been going to this office for over 32 years. I was treated like no one care about me as a patient. They made the mistake and I have to pay for this error. I do not have another dr and I am in a lot of pain. Please do not go to this office as they do not care about their patients Only their time.

Dr. Fein is the most compassionate, professional and educated OB. He delivered my two children and I would recommend him to anyone who is looking for the best OB. I am very offended by the negative post on this website. Please ignore what was stated and know that Dr. Fein and every Dr. @ Ramapo Valley is the best that's out there!

DR Fein was one of the most amazing drs i have ever come across. He delivered four of my children. he is always careing and nice. i would recomend anyone to see him. he is a truly passionate doctor. He always takes the time to answer all your questions.
