Dr. Amnon Gotian, MD

For years the 'go to' GI doc for myself and extended family. His partners in the practice all very nice and accommodating on instances when we needed to be seen while he was away at a medical conference.

I was able to get an appointment quickly as my PCP called his office on my behalf. The waiting room was moderately full but comfortable. I waited approximately 35 minutes to see him. The staff was courteous and accommodating. The Riverdale (my first visit)and Bainbridge (followup visit) were very nicely decorated and modern. My procedure was done at the Advanced Endoscopy outpatient center affiliated with Montefiore. Very modern and state of the art facility. The staff there were truly amazing, especially Dr. Gotian, the nurses and my anesthesiologist Dr. Weiss. I highly recommend this center. Dr. Gotian's team is truly unique. I have never experience such cordial care before. I have recommended many colleagues from my department at work. All were has similar wonderful things to say. His partner Dr. Tepler responded to a late night phone call I had through the answering service. He was courteous (despite the 3am call....) and returned my ohone call promptly.

After calling the office in December, I was able to schedule an appointment quickly (within 2 days, same week) as an emergency for new bleeding. I had an office consultation in the Bainbridge office. Every one was very nice, understanding and professional. He spent a lot of time asking thorough questions and examining me. A colonoscopy was quickly arranged at the advanced endoscopy center in Riverdale. The center is impressive, modern and new. The furniture, decor and equipment looks very new. My experience was truly great. I didn't feel a thing !! Dr. Gotian's anesthesiologist and nurse were so nice and gentle. No cancer, only a few small polyps were removed. I sent 2 coworkers from my office to see him too. Both had similar experience.

I strongly recommend Dr Gotian. What a wonderful doctor. I am a commercial airline pilot flying out of the NYC metro area. I had a long term problem for years. Dr. Gotian was able to promptly diagnose the problem, and treat it. I am now symptom free and back to work. He arranged for an expedited workup with minimal disruption in my work schedule. He is wonderful, professional, courteous and with great bedside manner. Down to earth kind of man. He explains in detail the diagnosis and mechanism. I highly recommend him. My sister saw him in consultation in his Riverdale office. She had a screening colonoscopy and has similar wonderful experience. I have been to many doctors over the years, but this one is a rare find.

Dr Gotian really cares, you can tell, not very many doctors are like that. He really takes the time to explain medical concerns so you can get a better understanding.
