Dr. Amorette Laure Miller, MD

My experience with this provider was pleasant until discharge. My symptoms weren’t taken seriously and she seemed skeptical of me and this was reflected in my clinical notes.

Went to ER on a Saturday morning with whole face swollen up, eyes swollen shut.I saw another Dr., not Dr Miller, she prescribed antibiotics and told me if I started to swell any worse, come back immediately. That night, swollen even worse. I returned to ER. I saw Amorette Miller. She told me she didn't know why doctor would have told me to come back. She then proceeded to tell me I had not waited 3 days for antibiotics to work. Again, in tears, I told her what other Dr said. She was completely rude and sent me home when I was pleading for help. On Sunday. I knew there was something terribly wrong.My family physician saw photos of me and told me to go straight back to ER. From there I was admitted to the hospital. I was in there from Sunday til Wednesday on an antibiotic IV. I ended up with a staph infection on top of celluitis. The pain was horrific. I still can not believe that Dr . Miller completely ignored my pleas and sent me home. I also have 150.00 copay for ER and each it… took 3 times to get something done. Co-pays are required each visit. I am fine with the 1st Dr. She prescribed antibiotics and told me if it got worse, come right back to ER. Dr Miller was rude, lacked empathy, and could have caused something even worse for me.

went to Madison hospital for dental pain ..the whole left side of my face was swollen..the the treatment was very poor..no communication of the diagnosis ..flat out refused to issue any real pain medication or justify why..was given a mild pain reliever containing acetaminophen basically Tylenol ..refused any referral..and was aggressively escorted out of the hospital by security when i asked to speak with her again...the worst treatment i ever received in a hospital to date..i do not recommend her ..the treatment was unprofessional and hostile from start to finish..

Poor bedside manners, lacks empathy, she's stuck in the 1990's and shouldn't be authorized to be a emergency room doctor.

Doesn't take time with patient. Doesn't ask patient about prior treatment plans that work. Puts patients in a "box" and treats them all the same. If it doesn't work, oh well! She gets you in & out!
