Dr. Amrita Sunil Parikh Desai, MD

I am new to the Raleigh area and needed a new primary care physician. I had neglected my health for some time and had several issues. Dr. Desai was very professional and caring. She listened without judgment and coordinated my care with specialists in the respective fields. I've never had this done for me before - I didn't even have to search or make any calls. The specialists offices called me and set up corresponding appointments. I then had my follow up with Dr. Desai. She went over my lab results and made sure I understood each one and the challenges they represented. I will have another visit with her in a month. Her staff is equally impressive - professional, polite and positive. I called the office after my initial visit and my call was handled by a knowledgeable medical assistant. I highly recommend this doctor.

It is not often that a person who is getting older finds a new physician that really takes the time to care. Dr. Parikh-Desai is such a doctor, she is highly knowledgeable, she takes the time to make her thoughts and instructions clear. I have even had her return emails to me when she is off work (of course it was something urgent, but not many will email or call back if it is after hours.) I am very grateful to have found her.
