Dr. Amy N Amick, MD

As another patient of hers mentioned, I felt like a new patient every time I saw her. She actually admitted to me that she hadn't looked at my MRIs or any other information in time for my appt. She had my records but never bothered to read them. I would ask questions and she would tell me to go to the drug makers' sites to see how the medication worked and what the side effects were. These were heavy duty experimental pills for treating MS and shots that I would have to inject myself with. She flip flopped on my diagnosis every time I saw her and she really didn't know or care about my history. She said she was unsure of what was wrong with me and this was AFTER SHE PUT ME ON A HEAVY DUTY MS drug for a year. What an awful way to be treated when faced with a painful, chronic and debilitating disease. I was frightened and she made me feel even more unsure of my prognosis and future. Please stay away from this Dr. AND the office. The office staff treats you like dirt too and they are… scatter brained and rude.

I have seen this doctor for over a year. I thought she was kind but after a year of appointments I feel like I never know what she will say to me and I'm sure she has a lot of patients but I thought after multiple visits she would at least know my symptoms and her recommendations but it feels like I am a new patient each time and I just don't know if she's really listening to me or just making her own decisions without me involved in it because she never remembers any conversation we've had before and sometimes she says completly different things about my condition or prognosis or medications or her recommendations and then what she said to me the last time I saw her seemed like she didnt want to really examine me. She just wanted to guess what I need. She made me seem much more disabled and I'll than I really am without even investigating. It makes me feel like I don't matter that much

I spend many years not getting the right help.Do not waste your time with this Dr.Keep looking.

If I had to sum up dr amick in one word it would be outstanding. I love dr.amick she's wonderful she lissens to everything I have to say asks me tons of questions and does a check up everytime just to make sure everything is still ok. Even when its a smiple symptom she lissens to me and has me go for test just to make sure I'm ok and as she did she has helpd my migraines go away and found out that I have mild seizures she in the long run prob save my life my sons or someone eles because now that I know about these spellsi can stay away from driving. She's the best neuro in the world and I have and will refer her to anyone that needs a good safe neuro. Love ya dr amick and thanks for everything.

I would not recommend Dr. Amick unless you don't care about your health. She is very close-minded and will "Un-huh", "un-huh","yes" while you are talking. On one of my last visits, after explaining a symptom, etc., she follows up with "What else". Clearly is not there when she sees you. And watch out if you don't agree to a lumbar puncture....Run fast away
