Dr. Amy S. Anstead, FARS, MD

Would like to leave 5 stars but Dr. Anstead was an hour and a half late and no apology until I eventually brought up that I had been in the clinic for 2.5 hours (30 min early as asked for paperwork, another 30 minutes alloted for the 5 minute CT Scan in her clinic), and her staff told me this was typical tardiness. It also felt rushed. I always apologized to my patients if I was late.

I've had chronic sinusitis for most of my life and have had many treatments and surgeries but still have issues. Dr. Amsted was thorough and explained all of my options. I chose sinus surgery as it promised the best outcome. She clearly outlined the procedure, risks, and recovery process. Also, like Dr. Amsted, the staff and nurses were all not only professional but also personable (a rare find sometimes in medicine). Dr. Amsted's follow up after surgery had been just as complete. I highly recommend her.

Very thorough and direct. She covers everything with you and explains things well. In my opinion, she is the best surgeon and caregiver for sinuses that I have ever dealt with!

I was warmly welcomed on time for my appointment. The staff was very friendly and thorough. Dr. Anstead was very clear and knowledgeable of my condition as well as my personality which tends to minimize the severity of health issues. She clearly explained the breadth of her training. Although she spoke somewhat fast for my comprehension, she made sure she had answered my questions before I left. I feel very confident that I am in capable hands for upcoming surgery.

Doctor was 45 minutes late for my appointment while calling back several people who checked in after me. I tried to ask the front desk what was going on but the nurse rushed over to tell me I had to wait longer because I was a new patient (???). How do they ever get returning patients with this behavior? Doctor required that I get a CT scan even though nothing had changed since my last imaging. Super-expensive upsell so she could tell me everything looks great (I know). The doctor was cold, condescending, and short on explanations for what she was doing during the exam or her treatment plan. She came highly recommended, so I was very disappointed with the poor quality of care.
