Dr. Amy Elizabeth Carter, MD

I have been a patient of Dr. Carter for almost ten years. She and her staff have always been through and courteous. She is never in a rush and always has time to address any questions or concerns.

Dr Carter treats my whole family, mother, husband and children. I have very happy with her as a Dr. I DO not like her office staff. They are unresponsive or slow to respond to inquiries..the local pharmacy doesn;t like dealing with them for the same reason. The do things like calling and saying your bllod work still spills high sugar. OK next step? Nothing just watch your diet. I have been watching my diet. Oh We will check it next time. Can I talk to Dr Carter? No need..I mean be prepared to address an issue if the results are not within range. Did this on a lab result recommending a visit to an OB..gave me a referral ..but when I asked what the Ob was going to do, what did the result mean? They were very irritated.So I again asked to talk to Dr Carter. WHen I did talk to her she was not irritated and answered my questions. Bad news can't be dumped on a patient with no explanation..Wait is very long and they lose paperwork.

My husband and I both went to see Amy when we first got here. I found her to be very high-handed and arrogant. In fact, she was quite rude to my husband on one of his visits. And strangely, she diagnosed both of us with high blood pressure - a symptom that has not been repeated in any other doctor's office. And don't bother "being" involved in your own care... she'll tell you what she thinks is wrong - and that's the end of that. I was very unhappy and have moved on to another doctor who "listens" to what I have to say, is courteous and doesn't have a holier than thou attitude. I think she's very "impressed" with herself. And, always cranky!!!
