Dr. Cocina (Amy) is one of those rare doctors I’ve seen in my 53 years who really knows how to listen and makes time to do so. I had an inner ear infection which was throwing off my balance and causing vertigo. We needed to rule out lots of other options until we were sure it was the infection, which can’t be tested directly. She seemed as curious as I was about the process of discovery. All the while she was nothing but caring at the bedside. I would (and have) recommend(ed) her to anyone looking for an internist.

Patient, Knowledgeable, kind, respectful, insightful, and a great listener. Honestly these are the qualities that help make a great MD along with their education. She is amazing in my book and I would suggest anyone who is looking for a wonderful Doctor....go to Doctor Cocina.

She takes her time, cares about, thinks about, applies all of her knowledge, creativity and concern to every aspect of a patient. In fact, I doubt she sees her patients as "patients," but rather as complete people.

It’s obvious that this is her calling, not just her business, as she genuinely cares about all aspects of my health. I’m treated with the utmost respect, and she remembers what we’ve spoken about in the past, without reference to a file or a chart. Nor does she force me into the industry’s one size fits all box. She’s truly a rarity in today’s medical world.

She definitely earns a five star rating. She is totally focused on you - on you the patient - your history -your issues- not pre-occupied when you are speaking with her. She doesn't rush you. Having been a nurse for three decades it was easy to recognize a very bright, intelligent physician with excellent explanations and options. I would recommend her wholeheartedly.
