Amy was fantastic. She answered all of my questions, performed an amazing surgery! I am so happy with the results. She followed up with me for 4 months.

I had a horrible experience with her . Did double mastectomy and she left me with dog ears and refuses to do a reconstruction, even the cardiologist said it’s totally safe . Horrible horrible doctor!!!!

Had breast surgery with Dr. Colwell. She was flawless from start to finish. Dr. Colwell is a master of her trade. Additionally Dr. Colwell discussed my procedure fully and was compassionate, loving and empathetic with my situation. I recommend her (and have) to anyone who needs surgery. My breast are now more beautiful and no more neck/back/shoulder pain. Thank you to her team at MGH. They were amazing also. Love Dr. Colwell.

My experiences with her are exactly akin to the negative reviews on this site and others. Went in for breast reconstruction post chemotherapy. She knowingly administered antibiotics that I had a Documented allergy too, and even soaked my breast implant in them. They then refused to treat me. I ended up with a four day hospital stay, and anaphylaxis due to her negligence. She then took me off of all antibiotics. She blamed me for it and pretended she had no idea what I was allergic too. Her assistant Deon, would not allow for me to have a post op appointment with her unless it was also with a pre-op for my replacement surgery. She then blamed nursing and wrote libelous notes about me from that visit. She is arrogant, and unethical. My results are so poor other doctors wont touch it. She blamed the high dose steroid I was eventually placed on when my whole body and face were swollen I couldn't open my eyes. Anyone else with negative experiences like this should report her to the board!… Collectively we can have a voice to stop this unethical woman from disfiguring people . Cancer treatment and surgery is hard enough and MGH is powerful enough to hide her unethical behavior. Please leave reviews on kelp.

I've been a patient of Dr. Colwell's for the past year, as I have been going through breast cancer treatment. Dr. Colwell performed my breast reconstruction, along with added procedures including a neck lift, labioplasty and fat grafting to the face. She is a true artist! Going through breast cancer has been challenging, however, glimmers of doing a few extras for myself, have given me additional confidence to face the world as a middle age woman - feeling a whole lot younger, thanks to Amy!! My face feels amazing and my breasts look natural! I will continue to see her beyond my BC treatment. The whole team is incredible! Saw Dr. Colwell for a labiaplasty procedure at MGH. The results of my procedure are better than I could have ever imagined. Amy Colwell is attentive and accurate. She listened to my concerns and needs, and made herself and her office extremely accessible to me.

I was a patient of Doctor coldwell for Breast reconstruction when I went into the operation we were on the same page but when I came out of surgery I was grossly disfigured and also In excruciating pain for a year ! Thankfully I had a second opinion and one operation And actually coming out of the OR I felt better than I have the whole year. I have multiple surgeries to go and if they cancer wasn’t enough Dr. Caldwell sure did me in Please I don’t want her to be able to do this to other women and actually get away with it!

I am one week post op and cannot describe how wonderful I feel and how happy I am with the results of my breast reduction procedure. Dr. Colwell is an artist who replaced my discomfort with joy. I cannot recommend her enough! Thank you Dr. Colwell and Staff.

Dr. Colwell did my breast augmentation, she was kind, pleasant, took her time answering all questions and had a great bedside manner. Her staff was very professional, warm and welcoming. My result left me with a natural augmentation that fits my body. I am 100% happy with my experience.

Dr Colwell is an amazing doctor. She really is gifted as a surgeon and is very compassionate. The results of my surgery were absolutely wonderful and I highly recommend her to everyone I know. The only downside is the office staff is extremely slow to return calls ( if they call back at all)
