Dr. Amy Elizabeth Dezern, MD

She is the best. She listens, she lets you ask questions, she's brutally honest and she spends as much time with her patients as they need. I really enjoy her team at JHH, they all have great attitudes, always smiling and always accommodating. She's a great choice!

Being a cancer doctor cannot be easy and Dr Dezern never stops giving her all to her patients... no matter how challenging a disease you always know she will fight with you and for to give you the best treatment availabl. She has taken care of my husband with MDS and then leukemia and a transplant and saved his life time and time agin. When giving relapse news she is so kind and you feel like you are her only patient... and then she finds a path ahead. If you dont like first option, she will find something else better for you so there is always a plan for the cancer.

I have been cared for by Dr DeZern over 5 years through initial diagnosis and two relapses. She has been my rock. She knows a ton and care so much. Whoever wrote the negatives reviews clearly never met her. She is very open to lots of paths and even helped me with complementary options. She also teachers her students a lot. She is so kind and smart.

Dr DeZern goes from strength to strength; informed, and offering hope in real terms. I feel fortunate to have encountered her; makes the journey possible.

Mentally abusive to residents and interns

Excellent. Very very knowledgeable, caring, direct and good listener.

Knowledgeable and conscientious. As a patient you would get along well if you do what she recommends but if you have other ideas, she does not seem very open and can be condescending and off-putting--first time experiencing this from a physician.
