Dr. Amy Hamilton Farkas, MD

Another 0 it would be if could be. I have been stuck with Dr Farkas for almost 2 years and she is by far one of the worst drs. She puts you down, acts like her schooling makes her better at knowing your body than you are. After a fluke test through another clinic, they actually found an anomaly and were ready to hear me and work with me where Dr Faraks both ignored me and acted like I was making things up or blaming everything on my weight (I am 230lbs) but extremely active. She fights me on simple things like a vit D test, and renewing massage appointments even though it's been the only thing that is literally helping even if the VA in general is limiting me. She makes me cry at every appointment and then tells me to go see mental heath for it. I am requesting a new primary asap, because I feel like she is making everything so much worse.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Amy Farkas instantly put me on defense. She spoke to me as if I were deaf, was condescending, and believes that she is more knowledgeable than my gynecologist - she rattled off at me all the awards and prizes she got since medical school. I could not believe what was happening. I looked around to see if there were cameras because I honestly felt like I was being punked. Unfortunately I am stuck with her for the next year as I am a veteran and in the VA system - you have to do it their way, no matter how obnoxious or abusive a provider can be. I could write much more about her unprofessional behavior but I think this will give one a good picture of how this woman treats her patients.
