Dr. Amy Catherine Fox, MD

7 years ago today I had a double mastectomy with Dr. Fox. The month leading up to the surgery was nothing but harassment with phone calls and not answering our questions. In fact her 2nd comment after saying I had cancer, was.....DON'T look anything up on the internet about this! We asked questions instead of following the herd of cattle through her doors and she did NOT like that. To make matters worse, I am still dealing with the incisions that she sewed too tightly after my double mastectomy. She is not part of the Dream Team they all lead you to believe. Please ask questions of your Dr. and seek a 2nd opinion if you see red flags!

Doctor Amy Fox Did my surgery 3 weeks ago ( total thyroidectomy ) she is very good ! Make sure I am ok after surgery and making sure I am recovering good at home. Dedicated and smart ! Patient , Emely

I was assigned to Amy after a breast cancer diagnosis. I brought my niece to my initial consultation; Amy made us both comfortable, patiently explained my options, and answered our many questions. She often called after hours with test results so I didn't have to wait until next business day. She came to check in before and after surgery, then called several times in days after surgery to check on me and to relay tissue sample findings. I felt like I was her only patient! She is kind, compassionate, patient, and I would request her if I need surgery in the future.

Dr. Fox is one of the best Doctors/surgeons I have ever had! She genuinely cares about her patients! I’ve had her for multiple surgeries. The First in 2016 when I was first diagnosed with Breast cancer. When another surgeon told me I would be pretty butchered up when he was finished with me, I switched to her and she did amazing work!!! Beyond happy! Then just about a month ago I was diagnosed with Breast cancer again for a second time. She called me and set up a consultation on what she was going to do and how she was going to do it. Her bedside manner is perfect! She treated me like I was a family member! She also called me at home petty much daily, to see how I was doing. She genuinely cares deeply about what happens to her patients and wants the best outcome for them! I would trust her with my health any day! Thanks so much Dr. Fox! You put me at ease and made it all so much easier. I will return to her again, if I have to have surgery again.

Dr. Fox is a very warm and caring surgeon. She performed my surgery on a Thursday I was discharged on Friday and she called me twice on Saturday, Sunday and Monday to follow up to see how I was feeling. I would highly recommend her to anyone and everyone. I am so happy to have had her as my surgeon.

Excellent surgeon and communicator. Explained everything. Called me at 6:00 on a Friday evening to tell me about a good pathology report. The OR team at Regions all volunteered glowing reviews of her work.

Dr. Fox was prepared to see me and had read all my information prior to the visit. She explained parathyroid disease so that I could understand it. My surgery and recovery went exactly as she had prepared me. I had a fantastic experience. I would highly recommend her.

I wrote a review last month and you removed it..I guess you didn’t want anyone to know the truth..bottom line? She doesn’t care what happens to you after she does surgery $$$$

Even though I decided to go with a different surgeon, Dr Fox is a great doctor. She answered all my questions. She always checks up on her patients and truly cares about them. I was grateful that she checked me for thyroid cancer. Other doctors had not recommended a biopsy. She found the cancer and I will always be so thankful she recognized something that didn't look right.

Hostile, rude and unprofessional. A walking time bomb. I've never met a doctor that speaks to people in such a rude way. Actually screams at people. Was very disgusted by her lack of professionalism
