Dr. Amy L Golden

Dr. Amy Golden completed her undergraduate training at Trinity College, where she received BS degrees in both Biology and Psychology. Upon graduation, she worked in the research department at University of Connecticut School of Dentistry, and then was accepted to University of Pennsylvania School of Dentistry in 1977. Dr. Golden earned her Dental Degree from U of P in 1981, and received special awards for her excellence in oral pathology and oral medicine. She continued her training with a one year hospital residency program in her home town of Syracuse, New York. Dr Golden moved back to the Philadelphia area in 1982, and worked for 13 years as a general dentist for HIP of New Jersey. Dr Golden then entered private practice and settled in Berlin, New Jersey. She moved into her current location in 2002, after renovating the dental office. Dr Golden has practiced dentistry full time for over 26 years and takes many continuing education courses so she can offer new procedures to her …patients.
While practicing full time, Dr Amy Golden pursued her second career as a leader in the field of Veterinary Dentistry. She served as an Instructor and Assistant Professor at University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine, as well as working as a consultant to veterinary hospitals and zoos throughout the country. Dr Golden lectured at national meetings, published many articles, and even received an Honorary Fellowship in Veterinary Dentistry for her contribution to the field.
Today, Dr Golden spends her free time with her family, enjoying outdoor activities which include kayaking, hiking, bird watching and nature photography. Her many photographs are displayed on the office walls, and on a screen saver in every operatory. Dr Golden.believes that her slide show relaxes the patient and helps to create a more positive experience in the dental chair.
