Summary
Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare:I did not start my career in nursing. I worked for a few years doing medical research and very quickly learned that being in a lab was not for me. I pursued a career in nursing and found my passion. What I want my patients to know about me:I am passionate about my work and taking great care of my patients is my top priority. I love when I get to meet my patients families and incorporate them in our care plan. Heart failure is a complex and progressive disease so it is always helpful when family members are present as well to learn how to care for their loved ones at home and keep their symptoms to a minimum. What I do when I'm not seeing patients:I love spending time with my family! I have three young children that are very active. I love coaching their sports teams and when I have extra time, you will find me working in my yard.
