Dr. Amy A Guiles-Lachina, DO

Dr Guiles-Lachina is the best family doctor I have ever had. She has been there from the start with me, but, when I was having Heart Failure and Kidney failure, she helped me and together we saved my life.

Dr. Guiles is the kindest, most caring doctor that I have ever encountered and at my age (62) I have seen a lot of doctors. Over the years the waiting period has gotten longer as time goes on. I don't mind waiting because Dr. Guiles will take as much time with me as she takes with another patient. The only complaint I have regarding the wait period is this: I would prefer to sit in the waiting room as opposed to the exam room until it is my turn. That doesn't happen though and the exam rooms are small and the chairs are not comfortable. The only problem that I have ever encountered is when something changes in my medication. I am afraid to tell the nurse about it because she gets angry. She hates the computerized system.

I waited two hours in the waiting room , only to get called back to wait another thirty minutes to get treated with an unprepared, unorganized, unprofessional sad excuse of a Doctor. The office staff lost the medical records i provided them with , hand delivered to them to make their job of trying to retrieve my past records effortless. I provided my new. Patient information prior to my scheduled app via hand delivery. Giving office staff a full two weeks to enter into their computer records . I was entering the practice as a cash patient therfor no confusion or task entering insurance info to my file. Needless to say , The doctor entered my room looked at a chart that was brought back by the assistant assigned to place me in that room . She looked at. Me and said did i see you before? Hold on let me read your chart , as i waited another fifteen minutes after she left the room to read my chart . When she made her way back to me again she informed me my medical records were lost or… misplaced therefor i would have to reschedule giving them time to retrieve my records!!!!! As i stated earlier I provided them with my own RECORDS!! They lost them?? In a weeks time , Have they heard of the Hippa law?? The rating stars on her profile did not have negetative star ratings . So im here to tell you This Doctor and her practice wyomissing family practice on Penn Ave is getting a negative infinite star rating from me. Enough said.

Dr Guiles is a wonderful doctor & thorough. She has been a blessing. However, the office staff is not very efficient & sometimes just rude. I have waited for over 90 minutes to see the doctor.

Amy is always pleasant and takes the time to answer all my questions. Always feel I have gotten the best care from her. Wait time in the office pretty long 30-45min but after getting her attention don't seem to mind as much.

I have been with Dr. Guiles-Lachina for many years. It was hard when I first moved to the area to find someone I was totally comfortable with. Her beside manner is great, she honestly cares how you feel physically and well as emotionally. She takes her time to actually listen to what you have to say. She is the best doctor I have been to since moving to the East Coast.

Dr.Amy has been my doctor since I was 23 and I am now 35. I have moved to Allentown, Harrisburg and now eastern York County and I have kept her as my doctor the entire time. When you find an awesome doctor you just do not want to leave her. I might, at times, have to wait but i know she will give me the time I need. It is not unusual for Dr.Amy to spend 45 minutes with me. She is thorough and remembers your story from before or just takes really good notes. She has never been arrogant with me and even when she is having a bad day she doesn't take it out on her patients, she laughs it off. I think she is one of a kind and that's why I travel an hour just to keep her as my physician.
