After a bad experience elsewhere, I was given Dr Henning's name. Refreshing to have someone take the time, explain any concerns i have and get follow up care moving in the right direction. Even during COVID-19 situation she called days ahead of my appt to discuss appt options, settling for now with a phone consult giving me :45 of her full attention.

I started seeing Dr. Henning after relocating to Chicago from Atlanta. An annual physical with her is basically being weighed, blood pressure, blood samples and a quick chat. During my first visit I mentioned that I am struggling with anxiety so she prescribed an anti-anxiety Rx. I mentioned that I am diving into menopause and hot flashes and she commented that i don't need a GYN she can do my annual pap smear (that makes sense to a doc that is in her 30s i guess). The next year when I went for my annual exam - same level of service and doctor involvement. The only difference is that I had new insurance and the office staff didn't run my new insurance until after my doctor visit and determined that Northwestern doesn't accept my Blue Cross IL PPO - even though the website and Dr. Henning lists it as an accepted insurance. Therefore the $400 visit was out of pocket. That was painful enough until I received the NM Lab bill over 1 year after my visit for over $700. Why was my blood even… sent to a Northwestern Lab when the insurance wouldn't be accepted???? AND I never received any results from those labs... this is what "Fly by Doctoring" without any real concern about the patient looks and feels like. I bet Dr. Hennings number of patients per day stat is pretty impressive though! Stay away.

Dr. Henning has been my internist for over 10 years. She is intelligent, kind, determined, and helpful. She cares and it shows. I appreciate her thoroughness and her empathy.

After having not been for a physical in over 3 years, I was very anxious about my visit. Dr. Henning and her staff was extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and very timely with my appointment. Their level of care did not go unnoticed from check in to check out, I felt prioritized and felt that they had a system in place to give patients the most effective and efficient level of care. I would highly recommend her to others looking for a primary care physician!

Dr. Henning is a wonderful doctor and I have recommended her to many friends. She is kind and listens to your problems and is quick to respond to emails and phone calls.

There was almost no waiting time during my 3 visits. The doctor even came to get me from the waiting room on my first visit. She is easy to talk to and listens when I talk. This is the third doctor I have had in as many years and I will definitely be going back as I trust that I will ascertain a correct diagnosis at last.

Dr. Anderson Henning listens very well. I had chronic, intermittent pain that was interfering with my life. I had this pain for years, but my previous doctor seemed to think i was only drug seeking, and didn't bother to look for a diagnosis. Dr. Henning didn't jump to any such conclusions, and found proof of a condition that can cause severe, crippling pain. Until the condition is stabilized, however, it is treated with strong IV painkillers. For two years i white knuckled waves of pain, being told that it wasn't real and that I was a junkie. I am very grateful that Dr. Henning listened; and was so aggressive in her diagnostic and treatment. She is also willing to explain things about my health in as much detail, including the chemistry and microbiology, etc, until I can understand as much about my health as possible. She has no air of superiority, condescension, or distrust.
