Dr. Amy Karen Hovermale, MD

If time is valuable to you, do not see this doctor. She overbooks and waits easily exceed an hour. Waited nearly 90 minuted for preoperative physical prior to surgery. Outrageous.

I love Dr. Amy!!! I have been seeing her for years and she always helps with my care. I wouldn't trust anyone else.

Have gone to her for years and get great care. This time was not a long wait even though sometimes have been, but worth the wait for the care received.

I have seen Dr. Hovermale for years and yes there can be a wait but she ALWAYS give me adequate time, which is why I will continue to see her long wait or not. She is very good at what she does and gives me great care. The staff is top notch as well and very good to all that come into the office.

Today was my first visit and it went very well. I did have a wait but nothing terribly long. She spent adequate time with me as well. The office staff is extremely thourough and friendly. I will recommend this office to others.

She'll make you get an appointment for everything. She doesn't care about patients at all. Should be ashamed to be in this noble profession.

Normally I have to wait to be seen, but today went very smooth. I was seen in a timely fashion and had adequate time spent with me. Very pleased. The staff is always nice and helpful.

Keeps you waiting for 1+ hrs. Prescribes wrong medications. Impossible to reach, even in an emergency requiring hospitalization.

I would not recommend Dr. Hovermale as your physician. She is out to make money off of you, and is really not that interested in you as a patient. She has no problem ordering tests, but then does not follow up with you regarding the outcome. Most recently, after a visit with her to get my presciption renewed for a chronic condition, I tried to have Dr. Hovermale call me as I had a concern that my medicine dosage was changed without consulting me. Dr. Hovermale refused my request to speak with me, and instead, I was told by the office staff that I needed to make an appointment to talk with her. That is ridiculous. I had just seen her the day before, and I had a few questions. An MD who doesn't have time to talk and follow up with her patient after having just seen her the day before?? I am a nurse, and I've been exposed to a lot of doctors in my day. This lack of personal care or concern, treating the lab values, and not the patients signs and symptoms, not following… up or talking to the patient by phone. All of these factors are the reasons I would never recommend Dr. Hovermale,
