Dr. Amy B. Klein, MD

We have had two less than desirable experiences with Dr Klein, both in the capacity of her being the on call physician we brought our toddler son to. Dr Klein was brief and dismissive both times. Her tone was condescending throughout and her rsponses absent of any thoughtful medical guidance. She offered that we need to treat how our son looks and acts, but asked no follow-up questions on how he looked or acted. The first time after we received this not so sage advice, our son ended up medically hospitalized with bronchialitis. The second time his fever had spiked and barely relented the next day causing us to make a follow-up appointment with a coworker of hers that truly cares. Disinterested and pediatrician shouldn't go in the same sentence. She stinks.

Her bedside manner is terrible, and dealing with her will likely cause me to move to another practice. I have dealt with her several times (office and by phone), and every time, have been extremely disappointed. I would not recommend this office to anyone I know.

From the time we saw the doctor, her mannerism seemed insensitive. She spent hardly any time listening to symptoms, and also contradicted the diagnosis of two other doctors at the very same practice. She was also a little rude in her interaction. Overall not a doctor I would want my child to be examined.WeI avoid her since then.

I safe Dr. Klein my whole childhood. I went to numerous appointments over the years complaining of sore throats. She swore up and down that nothing was wrong with me. My mom suggested I get my tonsils removed and she snubbed her nose. "They don't remove tonsils anymore", she told my mother and I. Thankfully my mom was persistent because we eventually saw another doctor who took one look at my tonsils and told us they needed to be removed ASAP. They were producing too many white blood cells, causing my throat to become sore and swollen. I now am rarely sick, no more sore throats!! Thank God we didn't listen to this doctor who didn't want to listen to us!!

Can't complain about Dr.Klein - always very nice to my baby daughter, answers all questions, doesn't matter how many I have or how maybe stupid they are, explains everything well. We've been going to Phoenixville office for 2,5 years and very pleased with it.

We've been seeing Dr. Klein for years now. My kids love her and she always takes the time to answer all of my questions.

Dr. Amy Klein's swift, non-caring attitude was evident as soon as she ran into the room. She saw my son no longer than 4 minutes and was quick to just listen to his lungs and check his ears. He was in for possible pink eye and did not even look at his eyes. She told me it would "just go away" over time and to put warm compresses on it. Since my boys have had pink eye in the past I insisted on the 'script for eye drops. I showed her how his eye was swollen and she informed me it was "probably being rubbed clean by daycare too much". REALLY?!?!This was the 2nd time this has happened to our family. Our older son went through the same pink eye routine 6 months prior and received the same attitude and treatment from her.I will never go back to her!

Dr Klein treated a child with 10 days of oral Augmentin (antibiotics) for a simple, straight forward viral conjunctivitis. This constitutes blatant mismanagement. More than half cases of conjunctivitis are viral in origin, and for the most part an eye ointment is not even needed.
