Dr. Amy M. Lohman, MD

We are now officially in a pandemic. Dr loehman’s office called to advise me that my prescriptions for high blood pressure and cholesterol will not be filled until I come in for a physical! Don’t want to visit a dr when I don’t need to during this pandemic,. Especially when you have to walk through an immediate care office to access her office. I’m 68 and have been on this medication for 15 years. I asked how she would feel if I have a stroke because she won’t refill, totally did not care!

Very unhappy with this dr. They are refusing to refill my prescriptions for blood pressure and cholesterol medicines because I am overdue for a physical. We are in a pandemic! I am 68 years old and do NOT want to visit a dr.’s office when I am healthy, especially when I would have to walk through an immediate care office to access her office. Time to find a new dr, just don’t know what will happen when you abruptly stop a medication you’ve been taking for 15 years!

Dr. Lohman has been my physician for a long time. She takes the time to get to know you as a person, not just a patient. Dr. Lohman answers all of your questions and listens to your concerns. I have never been rushed through a visit with her. I look forward to having her as my doctor for many years to come.

Making an appointment a month ahead for blood test and follow up and having the SAME TWO APPOINTMENTS IN ONE WEEK ?

I moved to Dr. Lohman when my existing MD at New Canaan Medical converted to concierge. A silver lining! I've found Dr. Lohman to be very attentive and courteous and a proactive partner in managing my health.

Very thorough. Spends a lot of time making sure she understands what's going on. Very approachable and pleasant manner. Now my son sees her.

I needed a new primary care doctor, and found her to be very attentive to my needs, willing to spend time with me, and compassionate about my healthcare plan. I found the front desk staff to be extremely pleasant and very helpful in making my transition to a new office easy. I will recommend this facility to everyone I know in New Canaan, as the hours are convenient, and it is so centrally located.

I actually disagree with the last reviewer. She is so nice, pays attention to you, has compassion and explains things to you. I went in for my annual and she spent an hour with me. An HOUR! I referred all my friends and family. The office staff can be a little abrasive at times. I doubt the last reviewer even spoke to her! It was probably a medical assistant in the office. She is great and such a convienent location downtown!

I called her with a question about a medication she prescribed me. I wanted to confirm the directions were correct on the bottle.I asked if I should be using these drops in both eyes, she said:"what does the bottle say"I said, "it says both eyes"She said, OK so it's both eyes.I would have thought she might just be a difficult person to ask questions to, but her tone made it seem like she genuinely did not know what she prescribed me.I called her two days later saying I was coughing and it was keeping me up at night.She gave me an expectorant which is just going to make you cough more, no cough suppressant or anything to do with my problem.she said if I wanted anything else I had to drive to the office the next day and pick up a script as she refused to call anything else in.so i lost another day at work due to lack of sleep... :-(
