Dr. Amy Li Matecki, MD

Dr. Matecki is the best integrative medicine doctor that I have ever met. Her holistic approach gave me a new perspective of how best to help people heal physically and emotionally. I am deeply grateful to Dr. Matecki and the team at Sutter Health because they inspired me and my family. Dad had cancer and was given little hope by the oncologist. With Dr. Matecki's support, Dad far exceeded the time that the oncologist predicted. With Dr. Matecki's acupuncture treatments and nutritional supplements, dad became stronger, more vibrant, and inspired to live fully. As a scientist, I love to research. I am impressed with the nutritional supplements that she recommended and reviewed the scientific studies proving them to be effective. Dad lived with a high quality of life. He was always happy and excited to see her. I saw him relax and take restful naps during weekly acupuncture sessions. I was relieved to see how refreshed and rejuvenated he was after the sessions.

Dr. Matecki works with cancer doctors but is not a cancer doctor. The other doctors send their patients to her for the cash she can make doing acupuncture (which did not help me) and selling their vitamins. It is criminal that Alta Bates Medical Center supports this.

This doctor no good. She try to sell you her vitamins that you have to pay a lot. She not a cancer doctor.

I first began seeing Dr. Matecki after I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer and just prior to surgery. Four months later, I am half way through my chemotherapy treatments and I'm doing extraordinarily well. Aside from hair loss, I have not suffered from any of the potential side effects from chemo (neuropathy, nausea, mouth sores, weight loss, anxiety, depression, fatigue.) Her attentive and thoughtful care are a fundamental part of my return to wellness. I am profoundly grateful for her expertise, her experience and the depth of her attention. As for the supplements she recommends, I am extremely grateful for them as well. I researched extensively on the best products to support my health (especially while undergoing chemo) and my oncologist, my nutritionist and the pharmacist have all vetted the value and quality of these products. I am so grateful to be in her care. Many healthcare professionals recommend and sell products that exist outside of the traditional pharmaceutical… network...and for the most part, they are of far better quality than what we find in drugstores. She has my highest recommendation!

I came to see Amy after years of pain. Her attention to detail and sincerity was refreshing, I have seen 5 physicians, 3 prescribed medication and 2 had no suggestions on how to improve my condition. For the first time in years, I felt taken care of. She prescribed me acupuncture and vitamins and within 4 months, I am able to walk 2 miles a day and can play catch with my grand daughter. She really is a gifted Doctor.

I was sent to Dr. Matecki for acupuncture treatments which are NOT covered by my insurance despite the fact that she is a doctor. She then recommended vitamins that i later found out she was selling and making money off of us patients. She never disclosed that the vitamins and scanner to check that you need vitamins are a farce and money making scam. turns out it is a vitamin pyramid scheme since she also has other people in her office selling them under her.I never went back since i felt i was being taken advantage of for my money. BEWARE!!
