Dr. Amy Lynn Mulcaster, DO

If I could give her 0 stars, I would. I strongly DO NOT recommend this provider. She likes to impose chaperones on her patients. Her nurse told me about the idea of having a chaperone, and I said that I was NOT interested immediately n I even told her dr Mulcaster as well. And instead of saying “no problem “ we don’t need to have a chaperone, she was imposing n very pushy n insensitive n I also communicated that to her thru mychart n first she took her sweet time to respond n then she apologized without meaning her apology. I’ve explained to her all the possible reasons why I do NOT want a chaperone in the future, I have Asperger’s syndrome n the presence of more than one person puts me thru panic n she said that she’s not willing to give me services unless I accept the chaperone n I also said in the message that I can’t see her unless there’s no chaperone. I think that the idea of having a chaperone is one of the stupidest ideas I’ve ever heard in my life. And I could promise you that… will not serve the patients very well. So PLEASE AVOID THIS PROVIDER JUST AS YOU WOULD AVOID THE PLAGUE. She’s very inflexible n uncooperative. Having a doctor like this one forcing you a chaperone against the patient’s will is completely UNACCEPTABLE. So I strongly recommend to not see this particular provider

Dr Mulcaster is the best gynecologist I’ve had in years. She listens to all my questions and answers them all in a simple manner that I can understand. I’m never rushed and I’m always treated with respect. Dr Mulcaster is kind, caring and very thorough.In fact if she hadn’t ordered my bone density test I would’ve never known that I had horrible osteoporosis. My primary care doctor had never even indicated that it was even something a 65 yr would need checked.

Mulcaster has the best bedside manner I've ever received from an OBGYN. She takes the time to listen to your history and symptoms; she also explains the diagnosis and next steps of actions clearly and patiently. I would highly recommend her to anyone.

I was referred to Dr. Mulcaster from another dr. at the Oregon Clinic. I found her to be completely lacking in bedside manner, empathy, compassion and listening skills. She made me feel like a hypochondriac, stupid and embarrassed, and I left her office in tears.

First Appointment

I really enjoyed working with the doc. She is direct and to the point. She was able to discuss my moderately complex gyno history with we and present a number of care options. She also did a wonderful job explaining a,surgery I had a few years ago (another doc) and ongoing related care necessary.

Worst Gyno I have ever seen. She is extremely rude and doesn't care if you have a health condition that needs to be checked on, she'll pass you along from doctor to doctor and not do anything. All she cares about is money and not you as a person. Find a better doctor or you might end up in some serious trouble depending on this Dr.
