Dr. Amy J Muminovic, DO

We recently had our first child and had Dr. Muminovic. First impression of her was that she was very knowledgeable. After multiple visits with her, our opinion changed. She became very short and stated that we must do things how she wants. My wife had a c-section delivery, and Dr. Muminovic was not her doctor; however, Dr. Muminovic was attempting to make decisions for her, even though she was not our doctor anymore, as my wife was a surgical patient. Her heart was in the right place, but she lacked empathy and compassion. It was apparent that the nursing staff did not see eye-to-eye with her. While getting advice from lactation consultants, Dr. Muminovic's words were "power through it". The awesome lactation consultants and other nursing staff had great bedside manner, and seemed way more knowledgeable than Dr. Muminovic. My wife dreaded when Dr. Muminovic came into the room. While doing paper work, she asked for my full legal name. After giving her my information, she declared I was… pronouncing my middle name wrong, and that it was pronounced a different way. This was not a joke either. I told her no, and that she was wrong. I informed her of the spelling and pronunciation, yet again, and explained to her that this was MY middle name that was given to ME. Needless to say, we dropped Dr. Muminovic as our family provider. In summation, Dr. Muminovic is knowledgeable, but is set in her ways and doesn't like to step outside of her box. I would further describe her as uncaring, unpleasant, stubborn, fake, and disliked by other staff members. When talking with other doctors and nurses, they smile and politely avoid the subject of Dr. Muminovic. However, it's clear from they're expressions and few words that they do not particularly enjoy working with Dr. Muminovic. Overall, I would suggest avoiding Dr. Muminovic.

I recently moved to Rice Lake and needed to find a new primary. I had my first visit yesterday and I was very impressed with everyone that I came into contact with and was especially impressed with Dr. Muminovic! She was thorough, took time to listen, answered questions and I never felt rushed. I felt like she truly cared. She is definately going to be my new primary so thank you Dr. Muminovic and the Mayo Clinic!

Dr. Amy is so down to earth. She smiles, looks you in the eye, and makes sure you understand what she's explaining. She seems to see me as an actual person rather than another ailment on a checklist. I recommend her to anyone I know who is looking for a doctor. The waiting can seem long, but she is a very popular doctor and is never hurried when she is with me. She gives me TIME and RESPECT!
