About Dr. Rothman
Originally from Syracuse, New York, Dr. Amy Rothman grew up in Portsmouth, Virginia, near Norfolk and
Virginia Beach. While at The College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia, earning
her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees, Dr. Rothman was a singer in the a cappella group,
the Christopher Wren Singers, a member of the Alpha Phi Omega
Service Fraternity, and a volunteer EMT/ firefighter with the James City County fire department. After
college she worked for two years as an orthodontic assistant in Milledgeville, Georgia, where she found
…her calling in dentistry.
Dr. Rothman earned her D.M.D. at Temple University School of Dentistry. In school she was an active member of the student branch of the American Dental Association and was president of the student chapter of Alpha Omega international dental fraternity.
After graduation from dental school, Dr. Rothman married her college sweetheart Adam and moved to Tampa.
Dr. Rothman enjoys hiking, biking, swimming, singing and theater, and is a founding member and former board member of the
New Tampa Players. Dr. Rothman also volunteers
in the community with "Paint Your Heart Out" Tampa,
Habitat for Humanity, and Metropolitan
Ministries. She resides in New Tampa with Adam and their daughters Claire (born January 2005) & Gail (born September 2007).
