Amy L. Shearer, DMD
As an orthodontist, I am able to provide care for patients with my own personal touch. I take pride in the level of quality care we provide to our patients. I want to give the patients in our practice a confident, healthy smile that they will share with the people in their lives. Smiles are contagious, and we hope to spread them around!

I take many continuing education courses because I know that orthodontics is an ever-changing field. I am always looking to add to my clinical skills through continuing education from highly recognized orthodontists around the country in subjects such as Invisalign® and digital imaging. I strongly feel that my team and I should attend as many CE courses as possible to …improve our knowledge to benefit our patients’ results, their treatment, and their experience.

Outside the Office
I am a native of Pittsburgh and currently reside in Arvada with my family. My husband, Paul, is a local oral and maxillofacial surgeon, and we have two young daughters, Charley and Sydney. We love living in Colorado and enjoy showing off this beautiful area whenever our relatives come in for a visit.
Skiing is something that our whole family enjoys, and we’re so lucky to be able to take advantage of all the great slopes in Colorado. Hiking in the Golden area is another treasured pastime for our family and we hope to start mountain biking soon.
Community Involvement
I help the community by providing underprivileged patients through the Colorado Orthodontic Foundation, which allows me to provide orthodontic care for children both in my private office and at the KIND clinic in Commerce City. I plan to help this patient population in any way that I can for many years to come. I am also a member of the Mitchell Elementary PTA and the Golden Chamber of Commerce.
