Dr. Amy Lynn Shultz, MD

Dr. Shultz is a sweet caring doctor that will do whatever she can for you. She takes time with you and gives you the best care she possibly can. She is a wonderful Doctor. Cheryl her nurse is a sweetheart! And I started getting infusions from David quite a while ago and hes very gentle good at his job I could go on about them all in their office. I just want to thank them all for being such wonderful people!!??

I can't say enough good things about Dr. Shultz. She gave me a lot of time (1st time seeing me), asked a lot of questions and is concerned my overall health but with her focus on my RA. I look forward to her care. Her staff is also great. I receive infusions and David is wonerful also.

Staff can't get medication to me, went through withdrawals for 4 days, seen her for 12 years. She now has dropped me from lies told by her staff.

I have had Dr Schultz for about 10 years. She is very knowledgeable about autoimmune diseases. She is very nice and personable and tries to get to the bottom of your problem. I just love her.

The best rheumatologist I've had and I'm sorry she's no longer in the metro. Can't find one who listens and is capable of adjusting my medication properly. I've just told my new doctors what she put me on and it seems like I'm doing their job. It's been years and I haven't found a suitable replacement.

She gave me the biologic medication I needed without making me go through a lot of trial and error with all the other medications because she recognized I needed a strong medication for the severity of my RA and I was unable to take methotrexate and a few others. She let me choose between two biologics and I called back after doing my research to have her send the prescription. I live an hour away and she is very good about helping me by phone between appointments and always calls in prescriptions (non narcotic) very fast compared to other doctors - it normally only takes a few hours before I get a notice it is ready to be picked up. She takes time with her patients and she also keeps good records, I hoard my medical records and hers are the most detailed records I've ever gotten - and they are accurate and unbiased. The only complaint I have is she did not do any xrays to see where I started but that may be because I don't have joint damage yet that we know of anyway. She also… hasn't done more labs however my primary doctor repeated labs twice since I started seeing her and she has those results (labs haven't changed with the medication but the symptoms are much better) so that may be why she hasn't ordered labs. It's not serious enough that I've asked her to do either of those things, I just expected it came with treatment for RA based on my research. I'm so sorry for the lady who is no longer being treated, I wonder if she was getting rid of pain patients who were receiving narcotics from her....she is still treating rheumatic patients, I have been seeing her for over a year now. It did take a long time to get an appointment because there are not many rheumatologists in the area, she has to take the worst patients first.

I was a patient a few years ago. I am now 64 years of age and highly educated. Dhaveas simply the best Dr. I think I have ever had. She was compassionate and did an excellent job as far as treating me for pain and the psychological affects. Evertime she said something about my condition it seemed she was reading my mind. I felt completely comfortable when I was being examined and her diagnosis was perfect. She has the demeanor that is needed for her patients. I have been to so many Dr's that would come in and have such a superior and arrogant and they treat you with an attitude that the patient is lucky to see them. I have a Master's Degree in Environmental Engineering. I am a Certified Engineer. On paper, it would appear that I am blessed with being inteligent, but I do not have a superior personality. So, when a Dr. treats me like a "Dumb Dog" I can not help it but inside, I knew that I could have been a Dr. When I talk to some of these Dr's I will be honest and I will in a… tactful way say something if I disagree. I think it better for my health to speak as an equal and I will not be intimidated. Anyway, Dr. Schulttz wants to know how a patient feels and encourages patients to be at ease about speaking about my condition. I am not seeing her anymore because one of her appointment clerks told me she was too busy for Rheumatogy and was going to concentrate on Immunology. So, I was told that I was not going to be seen by Dr. Schultz. I was confused, but what could I do? A few months later I called to see if I owed anything. Somehow, it came up about my dismissal. The lady said that there was a mistake by dismissing me. She went back and talked to Dr. Scultz and was told that "Once released it is there policy not to let the patient be seen again. Because of this, I am unable to see her. For Dr Schultz to say that does not seem what she would say. I lost the best Dr. ever. When it comes to pain medication, it can be tricky. I have been turned down on refills on occasion. I have heard that from other patients about how unpredictable Dr.s can be. So, most of the folks told me that they would double up on Dr's. It is a shame that the people that are addicted or cheat harms us that play it by the law. Sorry about the long narration, but Dr. Schultz is still the best.

Doctor Shultz realized more was going on with my health and sent me to a specialist.The specialist diagnosed me correctly and with the help of Dr. A. Shulzt I was able to start to form a normal life again after a year of being bedridden. Doctor Shultz is very kind compassionate and knowledgeable. The nurses however at her location are rude and hostile. I guess you can not have it all.

Dr.Amy is a wonderful doctor. She figured out what 2 other doctors couldn't. Great. Easy to understand.
