Dr. Amy Kathryn Simpson, MD

Dr. Simpson is an excellent primary care physician! She takes care of her patients, and when we have needed any special tests—or if we were in pain or injured and needing care—she and her team have taken care of us there or referred us to a good specialist. We feel fortunate to have her on our team! She care of two and soon three generations of our family.

Dr. Simpson’s staff is rude and very unorganized. I was given wrong information on more than one occasion. Phone calls are not returned in a timely manner and it is impossible to call and talk to someone.

Dr. Simpson has been my PCP for about 5 years now. She is the first PCP that I have had actually listen to me, provide reliable information and advice, and actually pay attention to my personal health and wellness. My health has improved greatly under her care. In cases of an urgent need to be seen I have always been able to make an appointment for that day. Dr Simpson has an incredible ability to remember things you have discussed previously even though sometimes I wish she would forget! She's never pushy and has always been very empathetic to my concerns and needs. I recommend her continuously to friends and acquaintances that are searching for a PCP. I do admit that sometimes the front office staff appears to need training in customer service but you have to also consider they are greeting patients for several doctors and have to deal with lots of yahoos. :-) If you can tolerate them you will find a wonderful caring physician in Dr. Simpson! Highly, highly recommended!!!

After several yrs of appointment errors, errors made on prescriptions, errors made in billing, unfriendly staff, phone calls not being returned for days, and Dr wanting to prescribe medication as first answer for any ailment I brought up, I have changed doctors, and would not recommend this Dr or facility to anyone who would wish to be treated as an individual instead of just another paying cow in the corral.

Dr. Simpson is the first MD who has seemed to take a true interest in my healthcare. She is my PCP and has sought answers to my health issues instead of just rushing me in and out of the office. Her RN staff has also been attentive and thorough. The front desk could use a little customer service training as they always seem pre-occupied with what usually appears to be personal business. Dr. Simpson has seen me through a couple of serious health issues and I feel I received excellent care. I hope she is my PCP for life.

It is extremely difficult to get in to see Dr. Simpson in a timely manner. The wait time is usually more than a month. The last 3 times I had to see the nurse practitioner.

Her communication skills need to be improved upon. She can't seem to spend enough time with her patient to let them know the level of their health problems.
