Worse doctor ever. N.ever called in my prescription. Gave me a print-out of her favorite diet to address my stomach cramps and nausea and kept talking about the Pituitary gland. Told me to read the diet doctor's book IF I READ. How insulting. I read on average 3 books a week and am highly-educated. I guess she doesn't like older clients and thinks we are all stupid!

Normally I wouldn't write a review but I just received a follow-up form for a colonoscopy I never had. This office and their customer service is a mess. I canceled my colonoscopy and called their office and left a message four times. No one ever called me back to reschedule. The office is staff was rude as well. Disorganized mess I would never recommend.

I have read the other comments about her and agree with the negative assessment. She keeps you waiting with no apology or explanation. I was turned away from an office appointment because there was a clerical error on my coverage. I explained that I had coverage and that it would be corrected within the hour. They still said no. This is despite the fact that I had seen her three times before and had paid all my bills. I was shocked!

Dr. Smithline was easy to talk to, explained things clearly, and answered all my questions. She was professional and I felt comfortable with her.

Avoid at all costs. The most unprofessional doctor I have ever come across. Takes long personal calls in front of patients without explanation or apology. Is disorganized, disinterested, and cold. Honestly made me feel very uncomfortable. I would never let this woman perform a medical procedure on me.

I cannot believe that a doctor can treat someone this poorly. I called 5 days after a test to receive results and was informed I would receive a call back in 1 day. One day passes, I call back and hear the same response. 5 DAYS LATER I still am getting the same "she will call you in 1 day" response. Finally a receptionist gets on the phone and tells me my results because they want me to stop calling. I can't ask any questions, because she doesn't know the answers. Dr. Smithline doesn't call me for 3 weeks- and when she does it's from a blocked number so I didn't pick up, and she leaves a message stating "I heard you received the results already, if you're in pain again please call me back". Still in pain. Still haven't spoken to a doctor about my results. As I try switching doctors, I've called their office twice and emailed them requesting my records be sent to my new doctor and even had the new doctors office call them to get them- it's been 1.5 -2 weeks and still my records… have not been sent and no one has called me back to confirm they will be sent. Do not go to this practice.

Dr Smithline is very caring, honest and direct.

Never gets back to you in a timely fashion.

Dr Smithline was always late for all appointments. Incredibly disorganized, lack of knowledge and I did not feel she had a full understanding of the situation. Give yourself a favor get a better doctor. She is a waste of time. There are better gastro in Stamford. I found one and I can tell the difference.
