Dr. Amy Lynn Spizuoco, DO

I came to Amy after many bad experiences with Bobby Buka, whom she used to work with. I felt she had a good overall sense of dermatology and patient care. Sadly I was terribly terribly wrong. After a smaller incident when I paid for a deep facial that ended up being an expensive face message, I went in for my laser treatment a few weeks later. She burnt my face. After reaching out to her office the next day I found out I was actually speaking to her through email. After a back and forth and no apology Or sympathy for burning me and accusing me of waxing (which I have never done in my life). Her last resort was to write me, “Honestly Danielle, you don’t always seem to understand all the things I say. I have to repeat myself several times. From now on I will write things down and send home instructions for you.” I’m a documentarian and founder of a nonprofit. My job is to listen to people. And besides the point, I also am pretty sure doctors are supposed give you detailed… instructions no matter what your abilities or challenges are. I asked for my money back and haven’t gotten it. And my whole family who saw her have stopped. How would she treat a patient who can’t stand up for themselves? All I know is that I was burnt by her, her laser, and then gaslighted by Amy, a doctor I trusted my face with. I hope no patient looking for health care is ever treated by a toxic human doctor like Amy.

Dr. Spizuoco is the best! I have been to her for several different skin concerns including hyperpigmentation. Her staff is efficient, the office is sparkling and Dr. Spizuoco always knows just what to do. She had an excellent bedside manner, so I never feel uncomfortable.

Dr. Spizuoco and her entire staff, Izzy, Erica, and the front desk staff are amazing. The front desk personnel are always kind, friendly, accommodating, and professional. Erica is delightful and has exceeded my expectations on several occasions, in the initial exam as well as when I had cysts removed. Izzy helped changed the bandages, remove stitches, and located Dr Spizucco when the second set of stitches appeared not to be healing as expected. Dr. Spizuoco has phenomenal bedside manner (as do Izzy and Erica). The cysts that needed to be removed (one on my neck - the size of a golf ball, and one on my back above my spine - the size of a nectarine) had been removed in the past by other Dr’s yet they didn’t remove the wall of the cysts so they grew back. Dr Spizucco took all the time needed to remove each of them, and the back took much long than she expected. Yet she never made me feel as though I (or my cysts) was creating an issue. She never made me feel as though she was in a hurry.… I was incredibly nervous and everyone put me at ease. I love this office and staff and am forever grateful for their care. I no longer feel like Quasimodo with giant lumps visible beneath my clothing. Though I still have stitches while the incisions are healing, my self confidence has increased beyond what I’m able to explain. I’m looking forward to buying and wearing something backless!

Dr. Spizuoco is very caring and helpful. She does an excellent job explaining. I was very impressed with her knowledge base. I would highly recommend her. I have seen her several times and could not imagine seeing anyone else. Her staff was also very good

She is a great doctor! Very knowledgeable. Overall a very pleasant experience.

She barely checked my skin when I paid for a skin cancer screening 4. She told me she was doing a biopsy on a mole, she extracted the ENTIRE MOLE without telling me. 5. She (wrongfully) judged my financial status and brushed off my inquiry about laser removal, stating it was "too expensive" for me. The most unprofessional doctor I have ever been to. Do not go here!

I have a complicated condition and when I saw Dr. Spizuoco she was dismissive and unknowledgeable about my issues. Instead of taking the time to learn or hear what I was trying to say, she acted noticeably annoyed when I tried to explain. Her poor bedside manner and lack of knowledge- to the point where she didn’t believe what I told her the previous doctor in the practice told me- was extremely upsetting. My health may suffer due to her negligence.

The surgery went real quick and Amy is very professional, kind and sweet.

Dr. Spizuoco was kind and attentive. She seemed smart and decisive.
