Dr. Amy D Strassburg, MD

I didn’t feel that doctor/patient relationship. I will be seeing her again in a couple weeks. Hope things are better. I am disabled & I need a doctor that shows they care & I didn’t feel that from her.

I am a new patient to Dr Strassburg ..she was wonderful and thorough! I have a problem with her staff not calling me back for my lab results! It’s Friday and I called 3 times and by 4:30 I called again still no results ...don’t know which medication to get off of and which one take ! Very frustrated

My husband and I ( we are both in our early 70’s)were seeing Dr. Strassburg about 2 years ago. I was having a lot of back pain. She asked what I was taking for the pain, and I told her I was taking Ibuprofen. She said if I kept taking that I was going to die! So I asked her what should I take and she said to take Tylenol. My husband wanted to discuss a medication he was trying to get refilled, and it was never done. She got very irate with both of us, and said she had already spent too much time with us, and she walked out. We were thoroughly confused, so we just left. A few weeks later I received a letter stating that they thought I should find another doctors group to use. We had already decided we were not going to use her any longer. To this day, I still remember how rude and uncaring she was. And like some of her other patients have said, she stood at her computer the whole time and appeared to be talking down to us.

I have had nothing but positive experiences with this doctor, I find myself surprised at the comments here. She has been my doc about three years.

She is rude. When I was in the hospital, she put several derogatory remarks in my patient record and most of them were pure lies. She twisted everything around that happened to make herself look good. She needs to learn more about cardiac patients and learn some manners. She is not a people person and spends about five minutes with you, if even that long. Don't know why AMG keeps her on. She might have a degree but she needs to look up what the word compassion means.

I'm new to Dr. Strassburg, but every interaction I've had with her so far (3) has left me with a very positive opinion of her professionalism. She isn't one of those Dr.s who order unnecessary procedures to line her pockets. She is easy to talk to, friendly, understanding and to the point. I'm very glad I followed the recommendation to see her.

I can never see her on an urgent basis. The only way I can get to see her is schedule an appointment a month in advance

She knows her medications but does not have any empathy or concern for the patient. She loves to refer you to other doctors. She keeps her eyes on that computer screen and does not make eye contact. She tries to get you out of there even if you have questions. She once said nothing just handed me my perscriptions and left the room. Her nurse Kennedy thinks she is a doctor as well and often oversteps her bounds and can be very rude.

I have been a patient for about 5 years. At first I really liked Dr. Strassburg but now not so much. Her nurse, Kennedy is the absolute worse. She is very rude and does not like to be questioned. If you do not follow up with them then prescriptions are over a week getting called in and tests that have been ordered does not get scheduled. Dr. Strassburg spends her time with her nose in the computer and never makes eye contact. I was recently very sick and they would not fit me in their schedule for three days. I am in the process of looking for another physician. Having managed a medical clinic myself, I would recommend that patients tell the doctor when their staff is rude but in this case, Dr. Strassburg does not seem to care. I've also experienced reverse discrimination with Kennedy.

Would not recommend this Doctor! Her head nurse is extremely rude and unprofessional. when I brought the nurses attitude to Strassburgs attention she defended her nurse and then falsified my chart and put I was stressed because she did not address a medical condition I was concerned with. I made it very clear I was upset with her unprofessional and rude nurse. My husband was also a patient and was having a medical emergency. The nurse was very rude. Interrupted my husband everytime he tried to talk. Finally my husband hung up! We are both changing from this doctor!
