Dr. Amy Ann Traylor, MD

Disorganized, rude, condescending…..need I say more? Dr. Traylor is all about the money, not helping her patients. If you’re looking for a neurologist I suggest you look elsewhere.

Potential new patient asking a question: no time now, and hung up!

I was inherited by Dr. Traylor when her predecessor retired. I will self-admit to likely being a doctor's worse nightmare - am ex medic, EMT, and engineer in 8 different fields. I not only tend to self diagnose...but also to debate a doctor on their course of treatment. I find her tolerant, as punctual as possible (she does have emergency cases), and she only gives me grief when I deserve it. ...but I don't go to her for a Human resources consult - I go to her because I have a Neurological problem and a rare one at that; and she is the best in her field, bar none. I have temporal epilepsy and she is my saving grace. She brought me from being totally spastic to now Deputy Director of my Office on a large Air Force Base. I have worked with Doctors most of my life - she is one of the finest.

She made me wait 30 minutes for my appointment and when I asked how much longer, she got very defensive and said that she was dealing with a multi-million dollar case. Aren’t you supposed to treat each patient with the same care and respect, regardless of how much money they are bringing you?

Dr. Traylor had been seeing me for over a year and I wouldn't trade her for anything. She genuinely cares about my whole body, soul, and mind. I feel better just walking in the door; the atmosphere of the office is refreshing and meditative. She spends time with me and really listens to what I have to say. Plus she is always willing to try a holistic approach so you don't feel over medicated.

The staff is unprofessional and very disorganized. Dr. Traylor had to apologize for their office manners.

Dismissive, curt, money hungry (holds prescriptions hostage in order to force making a two appointments rather than one), unorganized. Could never remember who we were and important details about our situation. Is obvious she sees you as a dollar sign. Wasn't knowledgeable about medication interactions - always seemed aggravated and wanted us to discuss this with whatever pharmacist we happened to go to rather than her. I definitely don't recommend this doctor.
