Dr. Amy Ann Walsh, MD

Dr. Walsh has been my primary care physician for 20+ years and she is not only caring and compassionate but spends as much time with you as necessary so that all questions and concerns you have are addressed. She is an excellent diagnostician. I recommended her to family and friends and they are all happy that she is now their physician.

Dr. Walsh was the on-call doctor after hours who called in an emergency script for me when I realized I had forgotten my medication on a trip. I didn't know who I was calling, I was just forwarded to whomever was on call at the time when I called the practice's after-hours line. She made it very clear that I was disturbing her Friday night and berated me for taking too long to find the pharmacy information in the completely unfamiliar town I was in. When I pointed out that she was being pretty rude to me and I was not intentionally bothering HER, I just needed any doctor available to help me, she blew up at me and told me I had better change my attitude or she would reconsider whether or not she would decide to call in my prescription which she assured me she was not obligated to do. This upset me greatly as I would not have called the after hours line unless I really needed my medication, and I had never called it before so I didn't understand how it even worked. Dr. Walsh made an… already stressful situation even more stressful. I hope no other patients have to deal with her horrible attitude.

I agree with the bad staff comment. Phone lines often busy, immediately put on hold, abrasive staff and not very competent with setting appointments, calling the drug store for refills, etc. This practice needs a good manager and lots of change in attitude.

Excellent physician. Honest, caring and well educated however her staff are rude, arrogant and show no compassionate. Unfortunately, Dr. Walsh works only 2 days a week making it almost impossible to get to see her except for that yearly physical you scheduled 4-6 months before.
