Dr. Ana Maria Arango Mejia, MD

Dr. Arango is the best doctor I had in her specialization. She is more than a simple dr she give you very good service. We feel her as a friend that always has an answer. She foun my Lupus condition and stabalize it. I missed her so much. I hope that she returns to Rochester again. She is the best doctor and person. She is responsable, and have a lot of knowledge on what she do. My best doctor! In Rheumatology is the best.

These reviews are fake. This woman claims she in an immunologist. She is not. I almost died and ended up at MAYO because she couldn't figure out that she should have tested to see if I had an immune system to begin with. She ran after autoimmune instead of primary immune system and completely dropped the ball. Then she had the nerve to call me a hypochondriac. I've had REAL specialists tell me I am very lucky to be alive due to the negligence and blatent discrimination they witnessed while reading Dr to Dr notes that Arango used to discredit my concerns (that she was not addressing). Instead she exposed me to unnecessary radiation exams that showed NOTHING. (Even tho even those were repeated by other doctors and definitely showed something). In other words, Dr. Arango is one of the top 4 "Specialists" that I recommend to stay far away from in this armpit of a medical system.

Dr. Arango is very compassionate and concerned about me as a patient. She is positive and up-beat. She offers solutions and options when I am having a difficult time making a decision about my health. I am grateful to have her as my Rheumatologist.

before I met this doctor my pain was a level 7-9 every day and my questions and diagnosis were unresolved. She not only addresses the ongoing disease's (DDD, fibromyalgia,arthritis) but she addresses anything new and not related such as tendinitis, planters fasciitis, uterine cysts, UTI's, depression, anxiety, sinus infection. She is amazing. She takes charge calls the testing labs directly herself if imaging is not received or questionable. She is thouroh with her blood work and questions on history, diet and activity level. her office is excellent with disability or FML paper work. She returns calls directly and calls you on the weekends and evenings if she catches something in blood work that she can fix with a vitamin or prescription. She is personable and does not rush you. Her Physician assistant's and Nurses are also EXCELLENT. She has helped me to be able to work more often and get out of bed and get a good nights sleep. She has also helped my 80yr old mother in-law be able to… walk more and feel better all around from her arthritis and diabeties. She is careful with medication and is not bought out by the pharmacutical companies to sell her patients high end exspensive drugs. She is so good I fired my pain management team. Dr Neumani. He and his entire staff except maybe 1 or 2 nurses are horrific to deal with. They treat you like a gannea pig, sell you high end expensive testing, procedures, and medications and devices. They messed up medications on me 3x by prescribing things you should never mix. She truly saved me from that nightmare of an office. I thank God everyday for her. She is passionate about her job and helping her patients. Thank You Dr A!!!

Dr. Arango exhibites an excellent knowledge of her field of medicine. She is a good listener and allows you the time to explain how you are feeling. I would and have recommemded her to individuals looking for medical assistance. A+
