I came into the office of Dr. Cardenas as a new patient and I was taken by surprise. Everything was clean and modern, a few forms later and I was all set to be seen. They called me back so quick I wasn't able to get settled in to my book. Within in 45 minutes I was in and out and on my way to the pharmacy.

If I could give a ZERO rating I would. This Doctor appears to be all about the CASH! The front office staff are beyond rude! The doctor's knowledge does not make one feel secure. She has this gimmick where she sets you up for both her surgery and an unknown plastic surgeon for you to see on the same day without talking to you first! She NEVER examines you after you have been treated with a topical cream for a skin cancer...just goes straight to wanting to do surgery and she NEVER tells you about any plastic surgeon! You get the info from the receptionist at the desk who calls you for the two appointments for the same day! When I asked who this plastic surgeon was...I was given a name and told by this receptionist "Oh, he's good!" Who makes an appointment with an unknown plastic surgeon? Most important is the question..."Why do I even need to have a plastic surgeon?!" MOHS Drs are suppose to be trained in plastic surgery so they can repair an area after the surgery. The only… time a patient really needs to see a plastic surgeon (for 99 9/10% of the time) is at the patient's request! Also, Dr. Cardenas is NOT trained by the "American College of MOHS Surgery" which is the top credentialing agency for MOHS surgeons. Instead, Dr. Cardenas is credentialed by the "American SOCIETY of MOHS Surgery" which is like being certified as a "Cosmetic Surgeon" versus being certified as a "Board Certified Plastic Surgeon". Also, the so called "Plastic Surgeon" she referrers patients to is NOT a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon. He credits himself as a "Cosmetic or Aesthetics Surgeon!" The public needs to be aware of the degree of training doctors have, their level of expertise, treatment of patients, accuracy of diagnosis, and certainly never referring a patient to a specialist without first discussing the need with the patient before hand! I hope this information serves only to alleviate any confusion and to provide assistance to those in need of clarification.

The visits always seem rushed. The front desk staff is usually rude. I get bills almost a year later and most of the time say they are going to be sent to collections when it was just the first bill i've received from them.

I've been trying to get an appointment for a month. I've called at least 5 times. You have to leave a message and no one returns your call. I've had skin cancer which Dr. Cardenas treated so I hate to switch doctors but considering the long wait times I've experienced in the past, the unprofessional and VERY unfriendly staff, I'm going to get my medical records and go somewhere else.

Had to call a few times to make appointment was put on hold & forgot about twice, three different people came on the phone & no one seemed to be able to help me. Once i was there, receptionists were very rude, they seemed bothered that i was there interrupting their personal conversation. After almost an hr wait i get put in a room to wait another 45 mins just to hear the nurses arguing in the hallway. Dr Cardenas was great, very friendly & knowledgable, she does take her time with each patient, thats why the long wait. But once again i found myself interrupting personal conversations trying to make a follow up appointment. All of the office staff i encountered is very rude & unprofessional! as much as i like Dr Cardenas the staff make it very hard for me to want to go back. I will not be going back any time soon or recommending this place to anyone.

I think this office is wonderful ! There is a wait time at this office but I do realize its not a fast food restaurant ! The staff are courteous and my Doctor spends time with me.

First of all, I don't recommend this doctor and her practice to anyone!! The receptionist are rude, unwelcoming, unfriendly and much more. Second, if you survive this first encounter and you make it to the back!! You have to wait a long period of time to see the doctor!!! That's if u get to see her. Also, if your appointment hits their lunch break, the doctor goes and takes a cat nap instead of trying to see all the patients she still has in the examining rooms. Well the doctor is taking her cat nap, we the patients are having to wait for her in the examining room. Not to mention the receptionist are having a good time as if they were at the beach!!! Last but not least!, if you try to find out why is taking do long the receptionist gets offended!!! and don't try to ask them for your co-pay cause your making them work more then they have too. All end all it was a bad experience going to dr Ana cardinas!!!

I just read the reviews for Dr. Cardenas and was surprised. I have a history of skin cancer and was dissatisfied with my current dr. so I made an appt. with Dr. Cardenas. Serious mistake. The procedure that she did on me was terrible. I required plastic surgery following her work. I saw the dr. that she recommended and that was so botched that my face will never be the same. I am not a child and have undergone many procedures prior to this, but never have I received such poor medical attention. On the day I saw Dr. Cardenas she was showing a young (new) dr. how it is done. I actually think she was so taken with herself that she over did my procedure. If I could I would post a horror picture of her work in the center of my forehead I would. It is a spot about the size of a half dollar, quite deep and totally unfixable for all appearances. As I mentioned I saw the plastic surgeon she made an appt. with. Even he was shocked at the wound. His work also was sub standard, or… perhaps that is all he could do. I do not want to believe that any dr. would want me walking around looking as I do advertising his work. But Dr. Dev has dismissed me saying that this is the best he can do. All I can say is, God help us all.

The Dr. and P.A.'s are amazing. They are great at what they do and efficient. The staff is half proffessional and half shouldn't work for such an amazing team of professionals. The medical assistants are extremely challenged to keep it proffessional between them and argue and bicker loudly while patients are in the rooms waiting for their perspective Dr./P.A. to attend. The Dr./P.A. bedside manner is always amazing and informative. Dr. cardenas has treated my family for cancer and has done preventive measures to avoid premature death. The surgical procedure that she performed on my family was life saving and amazing. Dr. Cardenas is appreciated as her P.A.'s are too.
