Dr. Analena Hedi Alcabes, MD

Analena Alcabes, MD, is a colorectal surgeon at Montefiore Einstein and Assistant Professor, Surgery at our Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Her clinical focus centers on the multidisciplinary management of rectal cancer, with expertise in minimally invasive and robotic approaches to complex colorectal disease. Dr. Alcabes has a particular interest in sphincter-preserving surgery and optimizing oncologic and functional outcomes for patients with rectal cancer. Her practice emphasizes individualized, evidence-based care and close collaboration within a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive treatment across the full continuum of rectal cancer care.Dr. Alcabes received her Bachelor of Science from Amherst College in 2013 and her Doctor of Medicine from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in 2018.
