Worst Experience Ever

Dr. Marki-Dunn was very biased in her counseling and used scare tactics during my prenatal care visits with her when I reached full term. She pushed induction heavily with no medical necessity and even threatened to refuse care to me if I kept refusing induction as if my choice to follow evidence based birth research was somehow harmful to my infant as opposed to her non-evidence based recommendations. In retrospect, I wish I switched OBs as soon as I met her, but was limited to who I could see since the military sent me to California so late in my pregnancy. I would not go to her if you 1. Want your opinion and decision making be priority, 2. Have a natural birth with little to no medical intervention and 3. Are at all worried about your patient Autonomy.

Please, save yourself! Dr Marki disguises herself as kind and caring at first, and once she’s made her money off of you she could care less about your well being. I was seen for endometriosis and proceeded to have a surgery with her, she flailed to disclose everything about the surgery, I was left permemantly disfigured ( terrible surgeon ) she did not explain and of her findings or even care enough to look after me after the surgery ( I did not see her once after waking from anesthesia and had no idea what had happened with the surgery ) I was left with a raging kidney infection ( she failed to tell me I would be cathetorized and have instruments inserted vaginally.. she described the surgery as “two small incisions in the abdomen and one INSIDE the belly botton.. my belly button is absolutely ruined. I now have an outtie and will forever. Unless I can offord a plastic surergy! When I got extremely ill from the kidney infection she didn’t even care, told me to go to an urgent care.… Afterwards when her surgery not only did not help, but made my pain worse she wrote me off completely. She was done with me at that point, my guess is all she cared about was making money off of the surgery and my ultimate well being was obviously not her concern. The icing on the cake, she left stitches in that healed over and now have become infected. Please... please do not see this doctor!!! Beware. I sincerely hope accociates I’m women’s health care removes her from staff. This office was always great, I delivered through Dr Canavero with nothing but good things to say. Dr Marki truly is the worst doctor I’ve been treated by in my life.

This was my first visit to this practice. The staff was welcoming and professional, the Dr. was engaging and prompt and really personable. Great experience

Dr. Marki-Dunn is a sharp doctor with a good head on her shoulders... very pleasant to deal with. She never makes me feel like "just another patient." Literally a life-saver for me.
