Dr. AnaMaria M Apoltan, MD

She is a CYA MD who yells and belittles her patients. Very poor communicator and NOT a skilled MD. Didn't understand why I needed Zofran via IM. She was just rude to me and my friend who accompanied me.

Saw this MD twice in 3 weeks and found her to be rude, does not listen , unsympathetic. Had a friend with m and she too was very critical of the care I received. Spent over 4 hours trying to get Zofran as an IM. Showed her my bottle of 30 pills of Zofran and told her I could not keep anything down . While she blames Walgreens I received another bottle of pills thinking I was getting IM. It was the worst experience I have ever had in am MD office. Never a reason to be rude to a patient.

I wish I would have read the reviews before my mother met with Dr. Apoltan for the first time. She is combative, raging, and appears to be mentally unstable. I went into the examining room with my elderly mother and she exploded when I asked a question. In addition to her bizarre behavior, she wanted to change medications/dosages that were prescribed by other doctors. When we contacted these other doctors we were told that Dr. Apoltan does this on a regular basis. She needs to be reported.

I have never experienced an office like this before. They don't answer the phone consistently and it is difficult to get in touch with the physician's assistant. Dr. Apoltan is one of the unfriendliest physicians that I have ever encountered. She did a comprehensive blood workup recently and when I came in for the results she told me that I needed to have some more bloodwork because the results for one of the tests was abnormal. I asked her what that could be and she was very cavalier and told me it could be something and named the condition failing to explain it to me. She spent very little time and was short and not compassionate at all. I would not recommend her at all. I have left this practice because they do not call back, don't answer the phone and Dr. Apoltan is unprofessional.

to remember why she became a doctor in the first place. Combative, aggressive, seemingly uncaring, I wished I had read reviews before going to her. :-(

She started out as an amazing dr. That lasted 1 year. I would sit in her waiting sometimes up to 2 hours listening to her private But extremely loud conversations on her cell phone with bill collectors, ex husband etc. When I finally get into the exam room, she is literally looking down at her phone, in the room for 2 minutes and then out she went. When her practice was really in the toilet she closed and merged with another office then up and left. I tried for months to get our records and they are nowhere to be found. All my medical history gone. She is a rude, incompetent dr who needs her license revoked. She has given me medication that shouldn't have been given to me due to a health condition I have and I landed in the hospital. She also pushed me into her get rich quick weight loss clinic and billed me a small fortune, and even mailed me results to someone elses tests. Such a HIPAA violation. She would run around with wrinkled clothes and her hair sticking up glued to her… cell phone. Hmmm I wonder if she is still with her sketchy boyfriend that would hang around her office all day. Glad she moved to Florida. She is a disgrace.

This was my doctor for a brief period when she was in CT. She was extremely disorganized and unprofessional. There were times I showed up for appointments to no one at all in the office and all the doors unlocked. I have heard her arguing loudly with her ex about their child while sitting in the waiting area. And the doctors that took over her practice say her charts were a disaster. I'm surprised she's still allowed to practice medicine.

Very rude and obnoxious . She has a very bad attitude and will never go back

Dr. Apoltan used to be a great doctor. She was very attentive and engaged with her patients. Over the last few years this has TOTALLY changed. The wait time is always over an hour, usually about an hour and 45 minutes. While waiting in the exam room you can hear her making personal calls. At my last appointment, when she finally rushes in to see me, she texts throughout the appointment, didn't address some serious medical issues and then was annoyed when I asked questions. She spent about 3 minutes with me (after waiting for almost 2 hours), then walked out of the exam room without even addressing why I was there. The nurse assistant then said "what am I doing with her?" to which Dr. Apoltan replied, without looking up from her cell phone, "just schedule a follow up". No refills on the preventive meds I take, no care or concern about why I was there. And then she billed me $250 for that 3 minute appointment. I think at this point she is just packing in patients and ripping them and… the insurance companies off. I would not recommend Dr. Apoltan as a health care provider.

No doubt that Dr. Apoltan is a smart doctor. But smart does not always get it when you are in the waiting room for a 1/2 hr, then put in the patient room for another 1/2 hr when there are no other pt's there. She is not organized and is always busy running around doing what I don't know. I never get calls backs when I call for something. I had a yearly physical, she never had me take my clothes off, did a quick ck of my pulse, heart rate, pulled my pant leg up a little said ok no swollen leg. Then proceeded to ask me several ? from a ck list. That was my physical, and I am a sick person on top of all this. I left her once and I am about to leave her again. Smart does not get it when you are not getting the proper attention !!! also there have been several times when their phone is out of order when have you ever seen this at a doctor's office !!!!!!!!!!!
