Dr. Anamaria Massier, MD

Is a fat shamer, she has a weight phobia! COMPLETELY blames EVERYTHING on weight! I don't know HOW she passed her medical exams, except that Cleveland Clinic believes in an "obesity disease" (that's the catch all disease when doctors don't know what its caused by, they say it's because you're fat).

No bedside manner. Why tell a patient who is trying to get better that hey your old basically just give up. Made my family member feel like they were taking up space and air.

I do not think that I have ever run into a more disrespectful dr in my whole life. On my mothers first day at Lakewood I related my concern about her being off her heart medication for 3 weeks prior to her surgery due to a last min delay by moms primary care physician. I also expressed my concern about getting back on ASAP and requested she order a consult with her primary and heart dr to ck in in her. This request was ignored. Day 3 I called nurse and again asked status of my mother being out back on heart meds. Nurse said she would relay msg but dr massier was unable to take mess gads after hours. Day 4 I was told she was back on ALL meds. Day 5 discharge - I again was able to speak direct with dr massier and questioned when she would be back on her reg meds. That I was very concerned as mom was clearly retaining water and had signs of wheezing and shortness of breath if which the dr never once took out her scope to listen to this patients heart even though she is a heart… patient with Cleveland clinic and was diagnosed with congestive heart failure just 2 months earlier. To this dr massier told me and I quote "and what gives you the right to question me? Are you the doctor? What do you know about medicine?!" Then she promptly turned her back on both me and patient and left the room. In follow up I addressed the dr to tell her that I did not appreciate the disrespect she had shown infront of my mother the patient. She again dilberately turned away from me. I left it with that - however for the week she has been in this facility I have been on edge due to the poor care and lack of concern or knowledge this dr show in regards to my mother. Cleveland clinic has all records online and I do feel that we as the patient entrust that the doctors will do all they can to make sure they understand the background of the patient before treating them.
