Dr. Anand Mohan Gupta, MD

I was asked by staff to reschedule telehealth visits multiple times. Sometimes I would dial in for telehealth visit and be told visit was canceled. I heard MD arguing with nurse, just prior to procedure. Something about balance due on my account. Nurse repeatedly told him I had payment plan set up and was consistently making payments. I wanted to get up and walk out, but was having symptoms of UC and didn't want to go through prep again. I wish I would have walked out. I had questions about medication changes after colonoscopy. I left messages, but received no return calls.

I'm not sure what the point of having appointment while you still have to wait so long to see your doctor (every time). We had colonoscopy done at Dr Gupta. They told us we should spend at least 3 hours there. At first I thought it was because they use anesthesia for the procedure so it takes time for the patient to rest, but it was not. Most of the time we spent there was for waiting. The procedure only took about 30 mins and another 30 mins for the patient to wake up, and dress up. They moved us from one room to another but just for waiting. That is even with them calling us the day before to get the medical history so that we could save time when we were there. If they do it correctly, the whole process could have taken 1.5 hours but we were there from 8am to 11:30am.

Waited atleast an hour n cold room, Dr. Gupta not friendly at all, he barely acknowledged me being there, his staff fine. I will never go there again and WON’T refer anyone there. I felt like was a piece of meat on a assembly line and No One should be made to feel that way!! Dr. Gupta needs to learn the real meaning of bedside manner!! Just Horrible and I thought the VA was bad this place is a VERY CLOSE SECOND.

Stay away from this doctor at all costs. I wish I had found this website before my appointment, I'm not even sure if I believe this man is a legitimate doctor, but I am sure that he is a scam artist.

I’m a bit late in writing this. 2002 I went to ER with severe abdominal pain, vomiting. Dr. Gupta was on call. My first diagnosis was infected uterus. I didn’t have a uterus. Long story short. I had a ruptured intestine. On my third day ( lucky ) I was close to death , and it was my husband, who is a veterinarian, who diagnosed me. Insisted they rush me into surgery and he is the reason I’m alive. Dr. Gupta apologized, claimed I was to young for an intestinal rupture. 3 weeks later , I called his office concerned I had multiple abscesses forming. He saw me. Told me , no abscess visible. Three abscesses ruptured 4 hours later. Basically, this Dr. is not very good at listening to his patients or got a C minus in Medical school. I’m writing this 16 yrs later because I saw his name and was surprised he’s still practicing. Please find a Dr. who listens. At least he apologized and I’m grateful to be alive.

Since being referred to Dr Gupta's care, I have received great care from him & his professional staff. Needs have been met & satisfied promptly & courteously. I have had an excellent experience. Fred R

After waiting well over an hour in the exam room to see Dr. Gupta, I was told "he's in a procedure, and he'll be with you as soon as possible." I questioned the practice of scheduling a scope procedure at the same time other patients were waiting for their follow up appointments. I was met with cold stares. Finally, the doctor came into the exam room, mumbled an apology, and proceeded to look at the computer. I told him that the service I received was unacceptable and unprofessional. He said he was performing a procedure. Again, I questioned the practice of double booking appointments, especially follow up appointments and scoping procedures at the same time. He said he wasn't going to talk about it any more. His answer was unacceptable, and I said as much. He then said that my scope was "normal" and that there was nothing that could be done, except to take small bites and chew carefully. I informed him that I'd been doing that for 18 years, since my gastric bypass surgery. He stopped,… turned towards me, and said, "it obviously didn't work." (He has no idea...I've maintained a weight loss of over 150 pounds.) I informed him that I would not be "fat shamed" and he owes me an apology. He then replied that as a 65 year old woman, I should know that everything in life is not perfect. He questioned my medical decision regarding a procedure that was done over 18 years ago, saying there are many other procedures. I told him that I couldn't go back and change the fact. I asked then why do I throw up after I eat? Why does food get stuck in my throat? Is there nothing that can be done? His very curt answer was "no." I got up, informed him that I felt his behavior was unprofessional, and that I would never return to his office again. He sarcastic answer was, "that's a good decision." I was referred by my PCP, and when I see her next week, I will inform her of my negative experience in the hopes she will no longer refer patients to this jerk.

My doctor recommended Dr. Gupta for a routine colonoscopy, and i wasn't disappointed. I was welcomed by excellent staff, and the anesthesiologist and Dr. Gupta had great bedside manners and explained both the procedure and the results with great detail. I got excellent care and recommend Dr. Gupta and his clinic without reservations!

I have been a patient for yrs and his bedside manner, professionalism and practice has gone down the drain the waiting time for visit is extreme and the office is dirty staff is rude he is rude and I don't even know if my scopes were accurate at this point I will never go back and my mother was a patient and she will never go back everything bad anyone has said in these reviews are 100% on point in going to contact someone to see if he should even still be practicing

This was better than previous scopes that I have had. I would rate the whole experience to be 5 star.I would recommend Dr Gupta !!!!
