Being diagnosed with breast cancer, let along at a young age, is horrifically devastating. Dr. Patel is an absolutely incredible oncologist. It doesn’t matter what is on his agenda for the day, when you are in his office, you are his main priority. He takes time to listen to your concerns and thoroughly explains the answers so that you can understand what is going on. He considers you and your thought / opinions throughout all your treatment, and you essentially drive the boat, with his guidance :) - but he never pushes. If you need to see an oncologist, I would recommend him without pause. I am so happy that I found him and he’s part of my treatment team!

Dr. Patel destroyed the function of my nose. I came to him because of a previous failed septoplasty, and he partially diagnosed the problem. He proceeded to perform an internal valve collapse surgery with ear grafts that 2 years later left me with a completely blocked external valve on the opposite side of the problem. He also tried a procedure in the office that completely destroyed my other external valve function and collapsed my structure even worse, leaving me in a completely broken state, I could not function but he said "you are just too sensitive to the changes". This left me feeling horrible and I was so irritated with the problem I could barely function day to day. He said I should just wear breathe right strips for the rest of my life ( I never needed them before this) and they bothered me considerably and didn't really fix the problem so I had no solution after seeing him. The ear grafts also horribly disfigured my nose, they made the tip large and it scarred very… unevenly. I later went to Dr. Dean Toriumi who completely fixed the problem with rib grafts (something Dr. Patel was not skilled with but considered doing...very glad he didn't try it). He got in over his head with this problem trying to solve it and should have just referred me off to Toriumi in the first place since he didn't really know how to handle it. All the work he did Toriumi ripped out so all the efforts were completely wasted, and now I have a destroyed ear cartilage on both sides. I would not recommend him for any revision ENT work.
