Dr. Anand P Popli, MD

I have read the negative reviews and I can't agree . I have been seeing Dr Popli for at least 20yrs. He is very knowledgeable and he does care. My sister also has gone to him and he had helped her . We both suffer from OCD . In fact my sister is back and wants to get back with Dr Popli. He does say "come" and "sit" I always thought it was polite he never said it in demanding obedience. I say this to my guest with my hand out "come " to welcome and I will say again with my hand "Oh sit ". Dr does ask how I am doing and about the meds. I think Dr Popli is mostly interested in the treatment plan . Is the medication working and how we are doing on it . What symptoms or thoughts are bothersome if any. It is the importance of being on the right medication and how it is helping . How we are coping. I have had issues that I needed therapy for and in that same office they have therapist. With a therapist you can sit long and concentrate on what is needed to be dealt with and work on it with… the therapist. Also you can see the therapist more often as you deal with whatever it is. Dr Popli listened to what bothered me and he sit me up with a very good therapist. Sue has been all ears and very helpful. I will never and I know others that will never speak negative about Dr Popli. The important thing is getting helped and being able to have a good mind. Absolutely terrible. He asks questions, then repeatedly interrupts while you are answering. His personal skills are cold, he does not make eye contact, he is closed off ,gruff and rude. I was told to " come!" Like a dog when he greeted me on the second visit, and told to " sit" like one would order a dog two times before ai had both feet in the door. He prescribed a medication on the second visit, only talked to me for 15 minutes. His diagnoses summary contained misquotes and errors, and in some places? As incoherant. Asks questions, refuses to let me elaborate without interrupting rudely. Im glad I recorded both sessions, I had my phone in my pocket. This doctor should be removed from his position. He repeatedly misquoted me in his diagnosis summary. He sadi I had a 29 year old daughter..I do not!!! He glossed over my physical injuries due to an vehicular accident when I smashed into a parked car at 55 plus miles an hour, sustained serious injuries. Asked me what my most traumatic… experience in life had been. I said, " there were many sir.." he then bellowed out " Just give me one!" This man is at best a third rate psychiatrist. He does not listen to anything. Very rude and impersonal, unprofessional and inept. Negative five stars!!! Do not see this Doctor!!!

I agree with comment about ‘does he realize what his prescriptions really do to Us?

Does he know what his prescribing has done to us?
