Dr. Ananda Walaliyadda, MD

called for apptmt. 1st question was about my insurance. wouldn't see MD until 3rd apptmt, earliest. have to have xrays and blood work. (i don't have arthritis but autoimmune. no need for xrays. want them anyway.) they are into making money and have no consideration for client's needs. i won't be seeing this dr.

Though the nurses and PA’s that work in his office are very kind and accommodating, I do not feel that visiting his office is worth your time in money. I had two visits prior to seeing the doctor, where blood work was done, I was referred to get x-rays, and ultrasounds were performed on my fingers and toes (despite none of my pain being in those areas). When finally seeing the doctor, he glanced over SOME of my previous labs/results. He refused to show me half of them and conveniently never uploaded them to my online patient portal. When I expressed concern due to a strong family history of autoimmune diseases and arthritis, he laughed and “assured” me I didn’t have those problems. However, when I presented some of my symptoms, he didn’t seem to have an answer as to why they were happening, just that I was “young and shouldn’t be having these symptoms”. I felt as if he was flippant and disregarded a lot of what I was trying to communicate to him because of my age. He then prescribed me… some medication that he didn’t give me the name to, told me to take it and come back in 6 weeks. This is where I realized he hadn’t taken the time to go over my records/results, as the medication he prescribed me was not compatible with another one I had previously been on, and his office staff had to call me after I had left to tell me not to take the medicine I was currently on anymore. I felt that was entirely unprofessional, and just goes to show the lack of preparation and care that he shows. He claims to have a “miracle pill” that can cure anything from RA to lupus (yeah right). I genuinely believe his “care” is dangerous. I would recommend driving elsewhere to see a rheumatologist.

I have been seeing Dr. Walaliyadda for 8 years+. He was the Dr. who FINALLY diagnosed and treated my joint pain. The office is efficient time-wise. I never have to wait more than a few minutes when I go for an appointment.

If I could give him no stars I would. I was diagnosed with RA about 4 years ago and he would belittle me when I said I was in pain. He would say I am young and older people have worse cases than mine and just made me feel like I was a hassle. Then I had a fall and we got it on video and everything. I made an appointment with him because I was in so much pain. He did an ultrasound and said he saw blood pooling up and he SENT ME HOME TO TAKE A BATH! 3 years later the pain got worse and I went into upper valley because i refuse to go to this joke. They ordered me a MRI and i have not one but two tears in my rotator cuff and have to have surgery. He doesn't care about his patients, he would have me come in sit me down ask me questions that he would completely blow off how i felt then send me on my way. We have decided it's better to drive 4 hours for a real doctor than 5 min for a joke!!

Very disappointing! The initial appt with PA Dr. Richins was amazing. He made sure to listen to my history and genuinely seemed to care about me. Dr Ananda W and his wife(the other PA) are terrible! When I saw them they didn't even know my situation and hasn't reviewed my chart notes at all. His wife was very rude and so was the doctor when I asked any questions. The receptionist and nurses are cold and unhelpful or empathetic. Spent tons of money on testing and found abnormal results but was told nothing was wrong and to drink a gallon of water a day for six weeks and come back. Mind you I had many symptoms of RA and fatigue for a year with no other diagnosis.

I waited 6 mos to be diagnosed, and he told me nothing about my disease. I asked about treatment, and he offered me a steroid injection, and then got annoyed, and told me there was nothing he could do for me, if I "thought" that didn't work. Well, come to find out it is well known that steroid use doesn't work for this disease, and there are other treatments. I learned this from my family doctor! It took a year to get a report faxed to the referring doctor, because they're"too busy" and claim to have already sent it, and accuse the other clinic of wasting their precious time. Funny, because I've never had this problem with my primary doctor's office before or since. Don't waste your time. Obviously, having a practice is a huge burden for them.

Had to do do a lot of reading on my own to find out more about my condition, but was glad I did. He wanted to pursue a course of treatment that deviated from the standard of care established for my condition that would have been unreasonably expensive. He would not listen to me when I asked about less expensive options. His PA was so confused about my condition asking to see my feet when it was my hands that were the problem. I am so glad I never went back to him. My advice -- find a different doctor.
