Dr. Anders Eugene Petersen, MD

Pam was who checked me in today. She was VERY unfriendly. She made me feel like she hated her job. As a new patient, I did not feel welcome at all. After filling out the required paperwork, I dreaded going behind the locked door to the next set of people I would meet. My name was called exactly 24 minutes after my appointment time. Upon going in to exam area, EVERYONE was very friendly. Dr Petersen is a great Dr. He made me feel wanted and appreciated. He took all the time I needed to review my prescriptions and any questions or concerns I had. I look forward to seeing him again. I would highly recommend Dr Petersen. Just don’t let the front staff scare you away. He is worth the little inconvenience

Dr. Peterson is a very caring doctor he recognizes your health problem and acts immediately to direct you to doctors that specialize in that field of medicine

We waited almost 1 hr from our scheduled appointment time to see Dr Peterson. When he finally walked into the exam room it was easy to see why. He listens. He wasn’t checking his watch, completing our sentences or making us feel we were out of time. This is a physician who is genuinely concerned. The only complaint I have is with the scheduler. Due to the time Dr Peterson takes with his patients, it would make more sense to schedule more time between his appointments. So glad to have found a doctor who wants to know his patients.

It took over 3 hours to see this doctor. He prescribed medication and when we called because it had bad side effects, it took a week for his office to return the phone call. Not impressed with him as a physician. He's not as knowledgeable as a family doctor should be. He has a poor, condescending attitude toward his patients. I overheard others talking negatively about him in the waiting room before my visit and I should have cancelled the appointment then. Won't be going back.

Dr. Anders Peterson is a wonderful Doctor. I was an ER nurse for 30+ years so I feel that I can tell a good physician when I have been seen by him. He is very knowledgeable, he takes the time to answer any questions that I have. He takes the time with me that I need. He doesn't rush you in and out leaving you confused with your care. Many people just want to get out of the doctors office ASAP and get upset if the have to wait. I'd much rather wait knowing that I too will get the time I need. I would not hesitate to refer anyone to Dr. Petersen.

A very dedicated Physician, who is taking good care of his patients. He is listenening with his heart and is helping whenever he can.

Pros: Not old and awkward. Not stuck in the 60s pill-pushing era. Vegetarian. Cons: They were a little backed up the day I went. I went straight back to the office, but waited on the doctor for about 20 minutes. By far, not the worst wait I've ever experienced. It was really nice to have a doctor who didn't milk me or my insurance for all they could. Within 7 days I had one visit, 2 sets of blood work, 1 breath analysis, urinalysis, occult blood sample, and ultrasound. They even scheduled it in their system so that I only had one copay. Some doctors will force you to come back every two weeks and take one test at a time, he just ordered it all right when I told him my problem.

Dr. Petersen has an excellent bedside manner and has provided thorough care for my mom at Erlanger. I would recommend him.
